The Left creating more Trump supporters…again

Cracked Egg

“While walking to an inaugural ball, I heard shouts — and felt yolk run down my hair. I froze. Emily Post is silent on the proper way for a lady in a ball gown to respond to an aerial assault. I had to wing it. First, I yelled back. I had spent six years living here, I shouted, and Washington was as much my city as the place I now call home. But then I, too, began to crack, and the egg yolk on my face mixed with tears.

Somehow—it might have been the crying and hollering—my predicament captured the attention of a more-casually attired fairy-god-couple. These kind people must have been liberal Democrats (not that it matters), given where they confessed to working as they helped me. Nonetheless, they asked if I was all right, gently took my arm, and led me to their nearby apartment to clean off. Then they let me out the back door.

At best, I had been a lukewarm and silent Trump supporter, a Goldwater-Reagan-George W. Bush girl who had decided to attend the ball mostly for the opportunity to wear a fancy dress. But when my heels hit the sidewalk that second time, I committed:

I would now back President Trump.”

I’m seeing this all over the place.  We had the normal back and forth for a harshly contested political race and of COURSE things got heated.

But things are different right now (and have been for a while).  Old Saw is still ringing true but louder and louder – especially the second clause:

Conservatives think Progressives are misguided; Progressives believe that Conservatives are EVIL.

Bad people, evil people – people so vile that from their self-imposed moral superiority (yep, from those that have no qualms about ripping limbs from unborn babies), any tactic, any words, any action is self-justifying.

My bad, not even NEEDING self-justification because going after EVIL people is never evil or wrong in itself.  In fact, from video, from interviews, from news reports (heck, just think back to just after Election Day and what has transpired on and since Inauguration Day), it is clear that their mask has slipped badly – they are making us seem them as they really are.

Tolerance, inclusiveness, kumbayaness – we on the Right hear these hurled at all the time and with a ferocious intensity that I have ever seen.  Simply because we disagree with them politically.  For them, politics is both:

  • a religion in which we are the infidels (word carefully chosen)
  • a blood sport.

And they are combining the two.  You sin against OUR political religion, against our sacred political correctness (words and deeds) and we will destroy you by any means and in any way possible.  They don’t want disagreement, they don’t want dissent, they broke no arguments.  Doubt me?  I saw it happen here.  Doubt me?  I’ve seen it against some of the ‘Grok writers.  Doubt me? Go ask Brendan Eich.

They haven’t realized that in backing Trump for President, the normal folks were giving these totalitarians the big middle finger.  Sure, there are those that are rabid Trumpers.  A lot of tepid folks too, as well as “ok, he’s the candidate” crossed with #AnyoneButHillary.

Except the Left, with these actions (e.g., the riots on Inauguration Day, the crude, crass, and vulgar Womens’ March, the Hollywood (and other Elite types) haranguing and condescending language about rubes, rednecks, deplorables and irredeemables)), are just pushing more and more folks to Trump as they are becoming a silly caricature of what they say we should be.

And the lack of humility and outright hatred keeps coming back to the same old question:

This hatred towards me is supposed to persuade me to support you…..how?

However, their ideological inbredness and self-isolationism (re: Pauline Kael), I guess, is keeping them from seeing themselves from our point of view.

Sidenote: oh YEAH – isn’t EMPATHY another attribute they accuse us of not having?  Hahahahaha!

So really, who are the evil ones?

Forgot I had this one too:

PHILIP WEGMANN: What I Saw At The Anti-Trump Riot In DC.

Families from flyover country were greeted to the nation’s capital with chants of “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA.” When short of breath, protestors opted for the more succinct, “F Trump!” One activist even decided to lecture a young Republican, screaming “don’t grow up and grab women by the p******!” before his father covered his ears.

When words failed them though, protestors turned to rioting. Wearing black face masks, they smashed the windows of Starbucks, Bank of America, and a Bobby Van’s steakhouse a few blocks from Capitol Hill. Private business didn’t suffer all the damage, though. Suddenly enemies of public transport, liberal rioters trashed at least one bus stop—an indicator of the aimlessness of the whole thing.

These protests can best be described as the opposite of the Tea Party movement. For all their supposed racism and bigotry, those conservative protestors never rioted.

No, but if there’s another iteration of the Tea Party that may change.

And the Political Left believe that either of these can be their TEA Party (um, yeah, that whole Occupy Wall Street worked out so well)? By turning off the folks in the middle with crassness, vulgarity, and violence?

Go ahead, keep going with this….
