This is Just. Rich. Coming. From. A. Self-described. Communist – Van Jones

Dispatch from Future of Journalism Summit / NetRoots Nation foray – Van Jones Book Signing Part 1Yes, Van Jones used to describe himself as a communist. So that’s the context and here’s what he said at the Womens’ March on Saturday:

We love the conservatives enough to tell them that they have to be better conservatives than this. You have to be better conservatives than this. Real conservatives love the Constitution. We have a president who seems to be an authoritarian. Real conservatives stand up for and believe in clean government. We have a president who seems to be committed to a kleptocracy.

Sure thing, dude.  We do love the Constitution but tell me, Van, how many Communists love the US Constitution?  The last time I looked, the two are antithetical to each other.  It’s values are for the Individual – to STOP Government encroachment (not that our Political Class has paid much attention to it lately) – Communism only cares about The State.

So why should we listen to you?  Tell me, Van, how well did YOU cherish the Constitution – I really can’t point to much at all during your time in the White House after Valerie Jarrett plucked you up to be a Greenie advisor to Obama (re: Watermelon Environmentalist, fer sure).

Speaking of Obama, enough of the nonsense.  Talk about being an authoritarian – he BOASTED about being a unilateral President (“If Congress won’t act <name an issue>, I will”) with his pen and Executive Orders (note to the Constitutional lecturer: there is no “We can’t wait” clause in there).  Is that not being authoritarian? And we had eight years on which to evaluate him being such (and he didn’t disappoint).

No, this play from Jones is straight outta Alinsky – and fairly blatant to boot:

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

There is another norm for which it seems you don’t follow:

Never ask someone to do something that you refuse to do yourself.

Real Conservatives are laughing their posteriors off…
