Obamacare – now what? Yes, I have a very simple solution

obamacareAll things considered, that is and the best part of it is all the GOP has do is just Alinsky it:

RULE 4:Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

In other words, exploit their own words.  And in this case, there is a single phrase that is repeated well over 2,000 times in this only-Democrats-voted-for-this Obamacare bill: “the Secretary shall…“.  In concocting this bad piece of legislation (in all KINDS of ways), the Progressive led House and Senate, in their rush to pass something as fast as possible, literally handed their legislative power over to the Executive Branch whose head and minions were of the same ilk.  Yep, “I’ll be happy to do that for you high paid gasbags that are too lazy to do your jobs”.  And continued the process of building the unassailable Administrative State. So what is it that can be done?

Easy-peasy!  We see tweaks to this morass of regulation all the time under that rubric of “the Secretary shall…“.  So all President Trump has to do is to instruct his Secretary of Health and Human Services is to review each of those occurrences and make that shall action so as to neuter the top-down command nationalization that the Democrats lusted after.

After all, here in NH, there are a lot of people who have had a lot of practice in this technique – just attend any annual Town Meeting or Deliberative Session and you can see this fairly often as warrant articles (think of them as micro-ballot initiatives that govern town behavior, spending, or taxation) get changed in just a few words to flip it to be the total opposite of the original meaning and intent.  Or render it meaningless.

I’m certainly willing to take up this challenge!
