Progressives – they often are wont to bring up one of the stupidest phrases ever conceived (but it IS a Progressive “tell” so when you hear it….): The right side of history. It is used to divide by making themselves superior; THEY have made all the right decisions and have the right philosophy and the correct worldview. Until they are proven wrong – and then they refuse to really navel-gaze to figure out WHY the rest of us “don’t get it”. Like now! I really can’t copy most of what is said in that post or I’d be violating ‘Grok Rule #1 but suffice to say that these Hollywood actors (many who have spent the last 8 years calling the rest of us really bad adjectives) are having meltdown over what they assumed to be a shoo-in for Hillary The Annointed. How DARE those Trump supporters think that they should have gotten behind that brutish throw back of a misogynist profit-maker!
Ahem – that’s President to y’all.
I watched a little of GMA this morning (TMEW’s morning program) and it was CLEAR that the normal Happy-Babby psychobabble dippity-due fluff they call news as out the window. Somber? Downcast? Crestfallen? Unbelief? Schocked? Dumbfounded? Thoughts of seppuku (especially former Clinton wonderkind Georgie)? Such a wannabee uncouth barbarian – people voted for him???
I couldn’t couldn’t stop giggling as I watched them; I bet I’ll be able to dredge up a LOT more examples over the next week. Here’s one:
CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley relayed the vote totals as they stood at 9:02 p.m. Eastern and then King immediately launched into one diatribe demanding that “we talk, Scott, for a second about why he’s doing so well with working educated women in Florida.”
That’s another assumption on their part – the Right is just so stupid – ANYone with brains should know that? Traitors to their gender (genders?), those dolts!
Er, note to the clueless – there is NO right side of history – history just “is”. And for those of you Progressives that can’t be persuaded, look around into the bubble you have placed yourselves. Tom Brokaw:
“the biggest critique on the establishment, and I throw the media in here as well as the two political parties, we have overlooked rural America a bit too much.”
Chuck Todd (ANOTHER former Democrat Operative turned “journalist” on Meet The Press):
[W]e’ve forgotten about rural America and rural America is basically saying, um hello? They are screaming at us to say, stop overlooking us, you know, we’re not ready to have just 21st century fly by us.”
Or those of us with the ideology that holds that Socialism is wrong, evil, and has failed every time it has been tried (the last eight years as Obama and the Progressives have worked hard to absorb everything “not Government” to be under Government control. When we say “flyover country”, it is with more than a little recrimination in that we are seen as of little matter in the eyes of our betters. When they say it, it is heartfelt thought that we shouldn’t matter at all.
Prediction: just mealy mouthed words now from them. They will either forget them later on or try ways to co-opt the rural folks and our worldview.
It is what Progressives do, dontcha know?
