Reminder to All Republicans: You Don’t Need to Apologize for Anything or Anyone, Ever.

shaheen-and-hillaryAs Trump being Trump trumps Hillary being Hillary. As we traverse a media landscape where destroying the lives of women who have accused your husband of rape is less concerning than just badmouthing them. Republicans need only remember that US Sen. Jeanne Shaheen has already given you and Donald Trump out, assuming you want one.

While not exactly answering a Question about something Hillary Clinton did, Sen. Shaheen said,

“Look, it doesn’t matter whether you support that or not. The fact is, that’s in the past…”

Here’s the full quote.

“Look, it doesn’t matter whether you support that or not. The fact is, that’s in the past, just as Bernie’s socialism, he claims, is in the past. So, the question is, what do voters want to see now from the candidates, and who can deliver? And that’s what I believe the difference is between the candidates in this race. On both, on the Democratic side and on the Republican side.”

At this point, what difference does it make? (Or something.)

Nothing anyone has every done in the past should have any bearing on the present. So Donald Trump talking trash about someone is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter because Jeanne Shaheen is not responsible for standing behind the cheating husband or his battleaxe wife. She is not accountable for Clinton greed, the server, the trail of suspicious deaths, Benghazi, trading State Department access for cash, dead American’s in Benghazi, lying about a video, lying about her server, lying about her email, lying about sniper fire, lying about who she was named after, lying about lying. “It doesn’t matter whether you support that or not. The fact is, that’s in the past.

Except when it might help make a sleazebag like Hillary look like a step up. But that doesn’t mean Republicans should just play along like they are so inclined to do. They should remind everyone, including Democrats, of what Senator Shaheen said, and then ask, “so the past does matter?”

Well, alright then. Let’s talk some more about Hillary’s past. Then get to it. And be loud and clear about it.
