Dumping Trump Could Be Hazardous For GOP Candidates

The GOP Establishment caused, and deserve Trump – they belittled and worked against their base over and over. The dirty little secret is that many of them agree with Hillary that the same people they depend on to get elected are deplorable. They have destroyed too many good candidates with false stories of past misdeeds for the voters to care what they think down in DC.

The DC uni-party establishment can somehow pretend to be shocked at the ancient and mild transgressions of, or made-up stories about, GOP candidates, while chuckling amongst themselves about the very real exploits of Slick Willy and the blindingly obvious corruption of Hillary, The Red Queen.

Deplorably Shocking - Bok

The TEA Party was born of frustration with the elites, but it misdiagnosed the problem by thinking that working to elect good Republicans in 2010 and 2014 would slam the brakes on excessive spending, shut down illegal immigration, and stop or reverse Obamacare, but nothing changed.

The grassroots realized that, with a few brave exceptions, Republicans and Democrats were working hand-in-hand to increase spending, increase immigration, and abdicate control of law (regulations) to the executive agencies. We may be taking a gamble on Trump, but he’s the last man standing and he’s willing to fight to win!

Can't Jump Now! - Benson Notwithstanding that candidates who openly supported Trump did better than expected in the primaries, we are now treated to the spectacle of the GOP trying to abandon its own nominee in mid-election, and of candidates with close elections trying to run away from Trump instead of supporting the choice of the people.

Our very own Senator Ayotte is typical, voting against the will of the people in DC, equivocating about support for Trump, and finally running away from his candidacy on the grounds that a few words recorded years ago are offensive. These are the same people who say they “could work with a president Clinton”, and yet can’t work with the will of the voters. Get used to the idea of Senator Hassan!
