Covering for “Horrible on Health Care” Hassan

hassanhighestbidderSylvia Kennedy, MD has been supporting Democrat campaigns with her cash for decades (she was part of Doctors for Dean in 2003) and from her soap box for almost as long. Today she has a letter to the editor in the Eagle Tribune apeing the”Maggie Hassan is the champion of family health care and Kelly Ayotte is not” because “Abortion” narrative.

And hey, Maggie supported a federal expansion of Medicaid in New Hampshire, so there. Huzzah!

In reality, Maggie’s record on “Health Care” (outside the left-wing Kool-Aid® drinking killing babies and creating dependency is compassion crowd) is a disaster.

Dr. Kennedy lives in a bubble that does not, sadly, permit certain truths in these missives. Maggie Hassan put NH taxpayers on the hook for Medicaid expansion. The Feds will run out on the deal, leaving us holding the bag–a step that 20 trillion in Federal debt is sure to require sooner rather than later.

She does have room to repeat the lie that implementation did not raise taxes. But there is no room in her letter to explain how the government spends more tax dollars for more services to more people without somehow raising more money from taxpayers.

I’m quite certain Sylvia isn’t fronting us the cash on her own.

Sylvia is also not concerned about the cost of taxpayer-funded benefits provided to able-bodied adults capable of working and paying for their own. I guess the left has abandoned the jobs created or saved meme for good then? And no mention of how running the economy into the toilet drove 94 million people and their families out of the workforce making them dependents of taxpayer funded benefits they wouldn’t need if Democrats had not ruined the economy.

Could you at least admit that was part of the plan? Create the need by making people destitute then come to their “rescue” and take credit? Nope.

Dr. Kennedy, blinded by her support for abortion, can’t bring herself to admit that Gov. Hassan’s taxpayer-funded support of the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, is corporate welfare which she, as a reliable progressive mouthpiece is supposed to oppose in public.

She also lacked room amidst her drooling praise to remind readers that pro-family health care Hassan tried to cut $58 million from the New Hampshire Health and Human Services budget, along with $7 million dollars in state nursing home support.

I guess once you hit the nursing home you’re not family.

Democrat governor’s in New Hampshire regularly wreak havoc on budgets and families and Hassan is no different. Maggie Hassan’s true contribution to health care in New Hampshire is anything but glorious. She reduced choice and competition, increased costs, and helped create monopoly markets for her campaign donors while burdening taxpayers with increased dependency.

There’s nothing healthy about that unless you’re a Democrat meat puppet reading your lines from the progressive playbook.
