Data Point – Trust in Journalism down again; CNN shows why

Such a headline:

Fueled by Republicans, Americans’ trust in media hits all-time low

Hmmm, ya think maybe they just bring this upon themselves?  I’ve been putting up the Gallup graphs for a long time so I’m not surprised:

gallup_journalism-trust-2016-09-14But CNN, like many Lefty media outlets, just can’t seem to understand that when you decide to call out and slime half your audience, to belittle them and denigrate them, there is generally going to be a reaction due to that decision.  The resulting “unexpected!” consequence just seem to escape them.

Go ahead, keep blaming the Republicans for this year but what about all those other years?  And here’s an CNN example:

The headline is Pence fails the test on ‘deplorable’.  CNN Contributor Dean Obeidallah was commenting on the Wolf Blitzer (CNN) interviewing Mike Pence, Trump’s VP running mate.  Well, Blitzer went all in, trying to “Alinsky” Pence by having Pence call David Duke, from the KKK, “deplorable (as Duke said he supported Trump – you know, guilty via long distance proxy…or something).  In other words, fall into the linguistics trap of using and affirming Hillary’s just outright nasty-ism in calling millions of Americans “deplorable”; the ploy was to have a Republican validate Hillary’s claim.

And Obeidallah decided to pile on.  Well, SURE Dean and Wolf, he is deplorable – just like Hillary’s mentor and Grand Kleagle of the KKK, deceased US Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV).

See, we ALL can play this game, Dean.

But for (in real life!) mild-mannered Mike Pence, it is a “failure”.  The only failure here was in Wolf’s inability to actually pull of this political stunt in defense of Hillary and then Obeidallah trying to tighten the screws.  But that’s what Democrats with bylines do…

…proving why the graph is heading in the direction it is.
