Yesterday the Seacoast online reported that Maggie Hassan believes she knows why Senator Kelly Ayotte’s poll numbers have dropped. Hassan believes it is because of Ayotte’s support for Donald Trump. Ayotte said from the beginning of the election season that she would support the Republican nominee.
Hassan, on the other hand, endorsed Hillary Clinton right out of the gate despite there being a Democrat primary. Hassan is super delegate for the Democrat Party but chose to vote how she wanted rather than how the voters decided. Clinton was trounced in the New Hampshire primary by Sanders.
Hassan also claims that Ayotte stands with special interests and her party over her constituents. She’s one to talk. Hassan stood with out-of-state gun control groups to veto a bill that would have ended decades of abuse by government employees against citizens. The bill was passed by both the house and senate, not once but twice, and each time Hassan chose out-of-state gun control interests over her own constituents. Now they are paying her back. Americans for Responsible Solutions (Mark Kelly’s gun control front group) spent over $1.4 million on ads against Ayotte.
Hassan has completely ignored the will of New Hampshire people as governor. It actually seems to be Hassan’s modus operandi as she was labeled the “veto queen” for vetoing good bills that would benefit Granite Staters. She vetoed excellent education bills that would benefit students; she vetoed a budget that was almost as expensive as her own and had money specifically to fight the opioid problem in the state and of course she vetoed a bill that would make it illegal to use electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards to purchase alcohol, cigarettes, firearms, gambling or adult entertainment.
Hassan and New Hampshire Democrats slam Ayotte any time Trump makes an outrageous statement. Trump does indeed make some ridiculous and outrageous statements but Clinton’s actual actions over her entire career prove she is nothing but a corruptocrat pushing her own self-interest rather than working for the people. It doesn’t matter what position that was – First Lady of Arkansas then the United States, Senator or Secretary of State – Clinton was corrupt and was investigated during every single position she held while her husband or herself was in office.
What’s truly ironic is somehow Hassan doesn’t think her endorsement for Hillary Clinton will hurt her. FBI director Comey said Clinton wasn’t truthful in her statements regarding the investigation of her emails by congress. The email investigation in which Clinton illegally handled national security emails on a private server rather than using a secure government server. Hassan believes Clinton’s admission of “making a mistake” is a perfectly fine excuse for putting the entire country at risk.
On top of that, there’s the Clinton Foundation which has taken millions of dollars during Clinton’s failed stint as Secretary of State in return for “favors.” That’s documented in the book “Clinton Cash” which can be viewed online as well. In the video, it’s clear that Hillary and Bill Clinton made deals with foreign governments that actually hurt the poorest of the poor in those countries. All while raking in millions.
Then of course there is Hillary Clintons abhorrent victimization of her husband’s alleged sexual assault victims. Clinton not only victimized these women but she enabled Bill Clinton to continue his deviant behavior. Of course, Hassan has her own issues in that area right now. Her husband, Tom Hassan, covered up a sexual abuse case at Phillips Exeter when he was headmaster. Maybe that’s why it isn’t an issue to Hassan.
The list of Clinton corruption and horrific behavior goes on and on and on. Actual things she has done over the years that show she is completely unfit to serve in any capacity of government. Yet Democrats don’t seem to care. They slam Ayotte for the things Trump says as if she has any control over him. Meanwhile their own candidate would be in prison right now if her last name wasn’t Clinton. Hassan is beyond hypocritical for her statements. Democrats should clean their own house before demanding anyone else clean theirs.
