Another Blow to the Big Switch Myth

The “Big Switch” myth is something the Democrats and Progressives repeat over and over again in an attempt to rinse themselves of their rancid racist history.  No doubt you heard it. It goes basically like this: Yes, yes, the Democrats were racist before 196o’s–what with all their votes against anti-lynching laws and the KKK teeming in their ranks. Of course they were!  But after the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the Big Switch supposedly happened and all the nasty racists left the Democrat party and went to the Republican party.  Sound preposterous?  Good, because it is. It makes no sense when one looks at history and facts. And here Dinesh D’Souza obliterates and, I’d say embarrasses a “smug professor”.

I’m a software guy with a penchant for football, hockey, music, current events and politics — mostly current events and politics. Having driven several conversations to silence while discussing the latter items, it has been intimated that I should blog about it; to purge it from my system so that we may return to enjoying social events and cocktail parties. Kind of like drawing venom from a snakebite so that the body may return to health. The body, in this clumsy metaphor, is the social life of my wife:0) So, game on! I’ve got opinions and I hope to persuade and look forward, in return, to be persuaded.
