Or rather, the US Federal Government Ambassador to New Hampshire, Jeanne Shaheen. Seriously, you REALLY think that I have a semi-automatic rifle to “do bad things”? H/T to Grokster Kimberly who picked this up at Buzzfeed:
“Well, I think people need to have their voices heard, and what I’ve heard from people in New Hampshire is they think there’s reasonable legislation that we can pass including things like looking at the types of weapons that so easy for people to get,” the New Hampshire Democrat said on Mitchell in the Morning on Monday.
She lives in an echo chamber of her own mind design. And no, it isn’t as “easy” as she makes it seem if you are buying a gun at retail – there’s NICS plus whatever else an individual State has for its gun laws. Trust me, if she were to come and talk to the folks that, you know, actually shoot, she’d get a schooling in what’s what. Like f’instance “Freedom is“. Simple, that. Freedom is just that – Freedom; it needs nor requires any explanation or justification (she hates that, btw). The ability to live without the intrusion and interference from Government snooty noses / busybodies / Holier than thou’s that all have that Progressive “tell” (or tick, your choice) that says “I say you don’t need that”. Freedom is the ability to tell someone – I don’t HAVE to “need” and you don’t get to tell me otherwise. Especially when it is a Constitutional Right. Folks like her have no consideration that my pursuit of Happiness (and real word there should be Property). But that’s what Progressives are – you are only allowed Freedom that we allow that we have determined that will “evolve” you to their idea of a Utopian resident. And she’s willing to lie to get there:
Notice the brand spanking new made up political phrase so as to sway the LIVs and make them feel good about themselves that they are on that (abysmal and utter dreck of a phrase) “right side of History”. No, the only side Jeanne Shaheen is on is the retrograde throwbacks that wish to return us to the time when vetted apparatchiks aristocrats apparatchiks (or in her case, apparatchick?) ruled over the peassants.
And it is clear that what I am to her – nothing less and certainly nothing more (Me the Knuckledragger, in her eyes)
“The fact is, the AR-15, the gun that (Omar) Mateen used, that’s a weapon of war; it’s advertised as being able do technologically advances in killing people that previous weapons have been unable to do and somebody who is buying that kind of a weapon isn’t buying it for target shooting,” she said.
No, for starters, it ISN’T a weapon of war. And no, that “unable to do” is nonsense as well. No infantry man worth their salt would ever bring an AR-15 into battle unless it was the only thing that was around. In this, our “better” Shaheen hasn’t a clue that an actual assault rifle has selective fire – semi-automatic, burst, or full auto. And the fact that she feels entitled to ruminate (you DO know what other mammals ruminate, don’t you?) on something that is clear she hasn’t spent even the smallest modicum of time to learn the actual vocabulary tells you only one thing:
She’s being a political robot spewing back the latest sputum from the DNC to foster civilian disarmament.
Go ahead, Jeanne Shaheen, just keep making it up as you go along (my 7 month old grandson has learned to dribble at the mouth, too). We’ll do the correction because it is clear your auto-correct mechanism is running a few bits short of a full checksum (yeah, if you ask nicely, I’ll mansplain’ what that nerd term means).
“They’re not buying it to go out and hunt deer. You don’t need an AK-47 or an AR-15 to hunt deer. They’re buying it to do bad things and we need to recognize that and address it.”
Actually, deary, lots of people use AR-15s and AR-10s use it for that exact purpose: hunting (although in a lot of states, AR-15s have been deemed to be too UNDERpowered to actually be used for that kind of hunting) (um, you DO understand the difference between an AR-15 and an AR-10, right?). And they do use AK-47s. And do sport target shooting, too. It isn’t the form, it’s the caliber. But that ruins the political narrative, doesn’t it?
So let me riddle you this, Jeanne Shaheen, oh wonderkind of all things AR-15s:
The National Shooting Sports Foundation says there are anywhere between 5 million to 10 million AR-15 rifles in the United States, according to CNBC. The gun used in the Olrando shooting was not an AR-15, but a Sig Sauer MCX rifle, a similar appearing rifle.
If all of us that own AR-15s, those millions of owners, actually had bought them EXACTLY “to do bad things“, don’t you think that we ALL would have already done so by now? That millions of you gun and Constitutional Right grabbers (and down right offensive down-your-nose types like smarmy teachers or the insufferable school hall monitors and teachers’ pets would have already learned the hard way?
Oh, but actually reality gets in the way of your narrative, doesn’t it? No, millions of us HAVEN’T done “bad things” with the AR-15s we own. We HAVEN’T made the streets of NH, or New England or anywhere else run red (as Progressives keep saying that we do) with the AR-15s we own. No, we are not the actors of malfeasance that you portray us to be with the AR-15s we own.
So you just outright LIE about us simply to make partisan political points. But that doesn’t bother you at all does it?
Because you have an even bigger liar for a friends that you support politically – you know, that serial philanderer and woman abuser’s wife.
