Seacoast Businessman to Join the Race for District 24

NORTH HAMPTON, NH, June 2, 2016 New Hampshire conservative and entrepreneur Steve Kenda announced today that he will run for the state senate seat being vacated by retiring Senator Nancy Stiles.

“The last two years have reaffirmed for me, and for my supporters on the Seacoast, that we need conservative leadership in Concord next year.” said Kenda. “We must put New Hampshire back at the forefront of economic recovery; reduce business taxes; deal with increasing energy costs; create and foster an environment where jobs and the economy flourish; and focus on leaving our kids an even better Granite State.”

“One thing I learned in three decades of building businesses is that you don’t solve problems by throwing money at them; you have to find the right solutions and spend wisely. Health care and education are two critically important issues we face and both can drain a state’s coffers without careful planning. As state senator, I won’t take the quick fix from Washington. I’ll build partnerships right here to serve our state, protect our taxpayers, and create sustainable systems that will get the job done.”

Kenda is CEO at HireAbility.com (focused on career sites and jobs) and CFO at RegMaven (focused on securities regulations). For the past three years, he has also served as a member of the finance committee for The Music Hall in Portsmouth. He lives in North Hampton with his wife, Sarah, and their four-year old son Eddie.

“I am grateful to Senator Stiles for her efforts and contribution to our District,” said Kenda. “She is well regarded for her constituent service and I wish her only the best for the future.” Kenda will file for the District 24 race with the NH Secretary of State’s office on June 10th.

(Senate District 24 comprises: Greenland, Hampton, Hampton Falls, Kensington, New Castle, Newton, North Hampton, Rye, Seabrook, South Hampton, and Stratham.)

Steve will be our GrokTALK! guest host on Saturday 11th of June, 2016.
