Maggie “Clinton Cover-Girl” Hassan has no problem running cover for Hillary’s scandals and law breaking, probably because she doesn’t fall far from the same tree. The latest case in point? Ignoring a law she signed last year.
From the “desk” of “Republican” State Senator Jeb Bradley, emphasis mine.
“This is our second request sent to the Governor’s office calling for her to release quarterly spending reports for statewide departments as required by RSA 9:11 to the legislature and New Hampshire taxpayers.”
“I am disappointed that the Governor continues to ignore the law by not releasing these reports. She signed the bill I sponsored, SB 32, which enacted these requirements for quarterly spending reports. The first report should have been filed by March 31 and is over two months late.”
“I am afraid that given her noticeable absence from the state, that these reports may continue to not be addressed. I am also concerned that we have spent significant resources outside the budget to address the heroin crisis. That is why these budget reports, mandated by law and passed with bi-partisan support, are so important.”
By ignoring the law, Maggie Hassan is breaking the law. Again. But no one should be surprised.
She’s may have given the Clintons a pass on all their baggage but she’s got a slew of scandals all her own.
She accepted illegal campaign contributions, at least twice that we know of, only giving the money back after getting caught and being forced to do so.
She violated her own travel ban to travel to Turkey on a ‘Trade Mission,’ wasting taxpayer dollars for no fiscal benefit, all the while contradicting her rhetoric about women and equality by recognizing a country with rapidly deteriorating rights.
Even the left-leaning Concord Monitor pointed out that her campaign is not paying the salaries of her security detail (for all that time she is campaign-fundraising out-of-state), taxpayers are paying for that.
She lied about New Hampshire exports rising under her watch to make her look competent. She is not. But she is a hypocrite for taking credit for exports raised on a product she and her party serially scandalize, fracked oil and gas.
She embraces sneaky late-night, last-minute tax grabs, subverting transparency and State law, something she’s been doing since she was a State Senator.
Her budgets are chaos, a gimmicky mess; and she is willing to toss anyone under the bus to make it appear balanced. She’ll even count revenue that would be illegal to collect.
And she is still running cover for Bill and Hillary Clinton, two of the most corrupt politicians in modern history.
Just the sort of “I’m-above-the-law” criminal-candidate you don’t want to send down to Washington D.C.
As for her most recent infraction, the legislation Sen. Bradley refers to is SB32 (2015). It passed the State Senate, Democrats and all, 24-0. Maggie herself signed it into law on July 13th, 2015. So any complaints from her office like this,
The governor’s office said lawmakers were told last year the state’s financial system does not produce the kind of reports lawmakers requested.
…are rubbish. She had half of last year and all of this year to figure it out or work it out and it is still not done? What the hell has she been doing?
Wait a minute. I see the problem. It was more important for Maggie Hassan to spend over six weeks of that time campaigning out of state (raising money for herself) than to spend it making sure a law she signed was properly executed in her own state of New Hampshire.
Damn, it feels good to be a ‘Clinton.’
