You can’t keep your plan if you like your plan (or your doctor, blah blah blah) but if you want taxpayers to pay for someone else’s sex-change operation, guess what? The Secretary Shall!
The Department of Health and Human Services issued a final regulation Friday that will pressure health insurers to cover sex change operations, which could then be subsidized by taxpayers through Medicare, Medicaid, and Obamacare.
And talk about timing…
The final rule comes the same day the Obama administration ordered schools to let children use whatever bathroom or locker room matches “their chosen gender identity,” or risk losing federal funding.
Thank GOD! we expanded Medicaid in New Hampshire, because,
Doctors and health insurers also cannot deny “health care or health coverage based on an individual’s sex, including discrimination based on pregnancy, gender identity, and sex stereotyping.”
In a fact sheet on the portion of the rule regarding sex discrimination, the government explains that health care providers cannot refuse to cover all services related to a sex change—such as hormone therapy, breast implants, and the surgery itself—as a matter of policy.
I wonder how they will handle breast augmentation? That has traditionally been considered elective surgery but based on this if a Tranny wants to pimp their decolletage on your dime, and they refuse, the United Stated Department of Social Justice will be on them like white on rice, searching the trash, seizing the computers, eyeing the financials, and likely finding a way to charge them with discrimination, hate crimes, Medicaid fraud, or all of the above.
And if a biological woman wants a “lift” can she just claim to be presenting as a man who wants to be a man who looks more like a woman, and get the same deal? What happens when the doctor refuses that request or the insurance company wont pay?
Cue dramatic crescendo!
