Project Veritas – well, James & crew have gotten some attention!

Will more legislation come out or will the Progressives / Statists / Marxists continue to water things down such that this will continue (emphasis mine)?

Carson, Birdsell concerned by lack of protections against drive-by-voting

Concord, NH – In response to a video released depicting election workers providing inaccurate procedural information to voters, Senator Sharon Carson (R-Londonderry) and Senator Regina Birdsell (R-Hampstead) issued the following statements.

New Hampshire voters deserve to have confidence that their votes count in an election and that they are not diminished by drive-by or out of state voters who decide to cast a ballot in a New Hampshire election. The video depicts campaign workers who suggest using a friend’s in-state address in order for an out-of-state citizen to take part and vote in the New Hampshire primary, despite claiming residency in another state. I urge the Attorney General’s office, who we know has chosen not to place emphasis and deploy recourse on enforcing election laws, to take these claims seriously and engage in a full investigation,” said Senator Sharon Carson (R-Londonderry). “This video clearly indicates a need for tighter and clearer voter eligibility and residency laws in the state providing stronger protections to our voting population.”

“The disturbing video recently released clearly shows that we need tougher common sense laws that ensure those who vote in New Hampshire elections have a vested interest in the communities impacted through these elections. The Senate recently passed a bill that I co-sponsored, which would address this issue specifically. This bill adds a 30-day voter residency requirement to protect our New Hampshire residents’ votes from instances where drive-by voters or individuals claim temporary residency in our state to vote in our primary or general elections,” said Senator Regina Birdsell (R-Hampstead). I urge my colleagues in the House to again support this legislation to help protect our elections and send this legislation to the Governor’s desk.”

Now, I have my reservations about the FITN but for far different reasons than this – but if the Dems are willing to encourage this with their actions (even as their words say otherwise) in diminishing the legal fence around legal NH votes, why should the Parties continue to let New Hampshire keep the First In The Nation Primary?  How could they when there is any doubt as to the veracity of the outcome?  What would be the reason when New Hampshire can’t (or so far, won’t) police the event?  To my mind, won’t is the operative word.

And from what I understand, the same sad sacks from before may getting involved – the powerful do not like to be embarrassed and now Project Veritas has done it again!  But I gleefully note, these same sad sacks tried to do the same thing as last time – what makes them believe they can succeed this time?  Keystone Kops in Model Ts comes to mind…
