‘Pretty Little Princelings’ Surrender To The Administrative State
This morning, Skip posted a piece on the lawless administrative state – It is my view that our elected representatives have long abdicated their duties to make actual laws constrained by the constitution, and so I was moved to write:
They enjoy their power, money, perks, and the supplications of hordes of courtiers. They live a lifestyle of fame and fortune, with willing acolytes in the ‘press’ hanging on every word and distributing those empty gaseous emissions far and wide.
They look and sound good while devolving more and more power to the evil ministers who promise to make their lives, and the difficult task of ruling over the peasants, smooth and painless.
Inch by inch, these pretty princelings let slip the reins of power as they danced their way through life; the chosen ones parading before us, pretending always that they are in charge, but, somehow, failing to notice that their protective bubble has become a walled garden, and their court a jail cell – not noticing that all the power and responsibility they gleefully abdicated is now concentrated in the hands of their, once helpful, ministers.
Those ministers have erected a multitude of offices to eat out our substance, and at last, it is clear for all to see what they have wrought: For that multitude of offices answers to no-one, not even their creators, as those corrupt congressmen destroy the finest system of government ever designed. For our Republic was designed for a good and moral people, and is wholly inadequate for any other.
The transformation is complete: The pretty princelings are hated by the people every bit as much as if they had enacted the suffocating administrative ‘laws’ themselves, and, no longer is it a friendly game of “Yes, Minister” with those administrative overlords, NOW, it is a game of “jump” and the only acceptable response is “how high, master?”
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, DC to swamp, their hubris to the debris of our American Experiment…..
