“Free Stuff” means slavery for someone else

How serious about free college

I’ll just say it loud: some people just don’t deserve free stuff.  After all, it’s worth every penny they paid for it seems to be their outlook.  How many of us know people that once having received something free, trash it?  Not everyone and some people are REALLY appreciative of what they have been given.  Those aren’t the people I’m talking about.

I watched a ton of kids in college just waste everything that was given to them for “free” – their parents paid and paid and they simply partied and partied and partied.  They left school haven blown 10s of thousands with nothing to show for it – betcha not even any memories given how wasted they were.  I know – I was the one that picked them up (or dragged – some of the guys were really big guoff the dorm floor and got them back into their rooms.

Free stuff given out by politicians is a seriously bad idea – no skin  in the game oft means “of no real value” to a lot of people; it engenders an entitlement mentality on behalf of the “recipient” which, in turns, engenders an envy for even more “free”..  After a bunch of decades on this mud ball, I am convinced that TANSTAAFL is real and anyone trying sell the idea that something, in this case college, can be free has an agenda that won’t be pleasant for someone else (and generally people like me that work hard for the money we earn).

But this is where we stand after the Frankfurt School and Gramsci’s philosophy has burnt our original meritocracy of individualism and personal freedom to being crispy critters; both of the Socialists running for Prez believe they have the right and claim to my stuff to simply give to someone else.

There is another name for this (and yes, I will go there): Slavery.  It is one thing to fund a limited government but now, with decades of incrementalism by the Left, there is no such thing as limited government at either the State or Federal levels. Day by Day, by Democrat and Republican, those Elites keep believing and acting on the idea that ONLY Government can do the good words they parrot.  They have no trust in we individuals – only forced collectivism / communitarianism.  When you work hard for something only to see it taken from you on the false premise of “equality”, you are seeing that their definition of equality really isn’t – it is “anti-freedom”.  Anti-Freedom – a perfect description of Progressives in either Party.

As Erik Erikson has coined: “You will be made to care”; which translates to “No Freedom to say no”.  So they will take your stuff.
