Democrat Debate: Two elderly Socialists and a “who?” gibbered last night

Hillary:  “there should be no bank too big to fail and no individual too powerful to jail

Democrat Party Logo 2015Of COURSE, this magnificent threesome didn’t get the audience that it truly earned deserved DNC Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was praying not to get.  How could it – a Sunday night of a long weekend (well, at least for Government workers that got today, MLK Day, off) and wedged inbetween two NFL playoff games on a channel nobody watches (WIN! for DWS and for Hillary).  Normally I’d be tweeting live (ok, I am a sick puppy for watching these kinds of events) but couldn’t last nite so, yes, I DVR’d it.  A few observations as it went along:

Bernie says mom and pops should be held blameless but get rid of immunity for gun mfgs?

Hmm, hold the stores blameless but kill off the companies that supply them?  Way to go to boost that unemployment – and shows this unleavened Commie is turning his stances because of the race.  Impact is the same – civilian disarmament.

But Hillary doesn’t cut out the suicides numbers and declined to mention that Govt isn’t enforcing the gun laws on the books

She was talking about the 30K gun deaths / year – and she didn’t talk about the gang warfare that is the cause of many of the rest

O’Malley – pouring on the emotion. don’t need an ar15 to hunt a deer

He just hates guns and has no clue that ARs are used for hunting.  Conveniently leaves out that hunting is not the reason behind the Second Amendment – a tyrannical government is.

Everything everywhere has to have the same makeup racially as the communities they are in. Quotas anyone?

Everyone keeps yammering about the opiod epidemic – and remember, most of that supply is coming over the southern border. THink that the porous border and Obama’s policies have anything to do with it?

Hillary – drugs are not a crime issue but a health problem. Treat with narcan.

Sanders – blames the companies. Hey, how about the docs? How about the people taking the drugs?

Neither of these fools talk about or even willing to mention RESPONSIBILITY.  Relegating this to just a disease (with the implication that anyone can “catch it”) does this issue an injustice.

Hillary – status quo.  In this debate, she just declares herself to be Obama 2.0

Bernie says he will get rid of private medical insurance. GOsh, no choice for me? He’s right about 29 illion still without insurance – Obamacare has made no difference as I blogged BEFORE ACA was past. Go FORWARD – take choice away

Hey Bernie, the British NHS sucks!

O’Malley loves him his Deleware HMO system – you know, the one that we people HATED back in the 80s / 90s when it was tried by the insurance companies.  SO why do these Big Governmenters think they can make it succeed, especially Bernie?

VT walked away from medicare for all because of cost? Bernie blames lobbying by campaign finance and private insurance companies and drug companies.

Both Bernie and Hillary want campaign finance reform – they BOTH admitted that they want to silence the voices that rise in opposition.

Getting people together, how will you do it?  Hillary will find common ground. Really? With Republicans are your stated enemy? WHY would anyone like me want to even deal with her (underfunded entrepreneurs). Bernie: how’s that VA redo working out for vet. Says that Congress is all owned by Big Money. Lists lots of things, “American people want it” – what’s the basis for that?

Democrat Socialist? Democrat Party needs major reform – what, become even MORE Socialist?

O’Mally – how heal the rifts? But we AREN’T, as Frederick said, are one.

We are as opposed to your Progressive rhetoric as you are to the Constitution.  There is no common ground.

Hillary is running for Obama’s third term, given her vociferous defense of Obama’s policies.

She will regret saying this: THere is no daylight between us on the basic premise that there should be no bank too big to fail and no individual too powerful to jail” and “I know how much money influences political decision-making”

Bernie: It’s one thing to say I am raising taxes, it’s another thing to say that we are doing away with private health insurance premiums. So if I save you $10K in private health insurance, and you pay a little bit more in taxes, in total there’s huge savings in what your family is spending.

Didn’t that OTHER Socialist tell me that he was going to save me $2500/year in premiums with his self-named act?  That didn’t work out for me at all – and then LATER he said “oh well, that wasn’t its purpose”.  Really, Dr. Obvious?

Gosh, is Bernie THAT economically illiterate? Of COURSE, he’s a Socialist! And look at the premise – you will LOVE a single source provider of healthcare, just LOVE it. After all, there will only be ONE choice: BernieCare! He’s just dandy that he is taking away your choices and leaves you with no alternatives if govt doesn’t solve your problem.

Bernie is upset how much info Big Companies has about us. Silcon Valley should be helping us.

He just hates anything Big unless the word Government follows it.  All for the State and nothing outside of it, and all that

Bernie on $600 B Military Budget. It is set up for fighting the Cold War and not ISIS. He wants to make fundamental changes. Umm, what about COmmunist China, Bernie?

Hillary: use Bill as a Good will Emissary

Gee, first visit to Kathleen Willie?

O’Malley blames hedge funds for Puerto Rico’s debt problem.

Never bad decisions made by politicians, naw, never.  Another case of Too Big To Fail?

Hillary outraged about Flint MI water and blames R Gov.

Doesn’t mention that the EPA knew about it for a long time but said nothing

Bernie says we can’t transform the economy and create the middle class we need (hey, Communism NEVER has a middle class!) unless we get rid of a corrupt campaing finance system that is undermining American democracy. We have to get rid of Super PACs, have to get rid of Citizens United, and what we have to do is create a political revolution that idolizes American democracy whch brings millions of young people and working people into the political process. to say loudly and clearly that the government of the US of A belongs to all of us and not to just a handful of wealthy campaign contributors.

Well, somebody had to do it but I have to admit, it was very hard to stay awake….
