Chicago has high rates of crime and violence in varying degrees from year to year but consistently ranks very high for homicides. DNA info Chicago lists 483 murders for the city in 2015.
Thanks to Democrat Congressperson Shelia Jackson Lee we know that homicide is the leading cause of murder in America. Chicago is part of America and a consistent leader in homicides year after year. But it didn’t start out this way. Democrats made it that way.
How?
Sensible gun laws.
No anti-gun Democrat worth their no-salt bag of fair-trade Kale chips will find fault with a single gun control law in Chicago. Not one. They love them all. And they want them all, for you, wherever you live, one legislative session at a time, until you can enjoy the kind of “safety and security” that the people in the Chicago enjoy year, after year.
Find a list and ask your local Democrat legislator or candidate. “Which of these gun laws, in your mind, is most effective? Do any of them go too far?” They might equivocate, more so nearer an election–depending on the constituency–but for the most part they would gleefully ride a majority of support for all of them. Even though the evidence suggests that these laws–in Chicago or any other Democrat-city–are the difference maker in converting a community in to a municipal death-factory.
Other Democrat policies help things along that path but the institutionalized inability of law abiding citizens to use lethal force in the defense of life and property invites rape, robbery, assault, property damage and theft, and yes, congressperson Sheila Jackson Lee, homicide.
By the way, the majority of those killed were black so in truth, at least to the left and their water-carriers, black lives don’t matter unless they serve a specific political purpose.
And the same political leadership that wants to make it as difficult as possible for you to defend yourself wants to make it as difficult as possible for your local police departments to defend you as well – not that they are obligated under law to do that.
This may make you wonder what their long game is in all of this but they’ve told us that already. They would love one big, happy, national police force. They’d start with the locals under national oversight but that’s more progressive incrementalism. In the end the goal has to be a disarmed populace and a domestic army overseen by the political class in DC.
Chicago from sea to rising sea, overseen by federal storm-troopers tasked with enforcing all those laws, even those that the pesky states refuse to abide. EPA, DoE, Education, Transportation, all of them.
The natural order of socialist evolution. A Tyrannical police state. And no, the National Republican party does not appear poised to limit this advance in any measurable way. They’d just like a seat at the table.
