"I'll believe it's a crisis when the people who tell me it's a crisis act like it's a crisis" - Granite Grok

“I’ll believe it’s a crisis when the people who tell me it’s a crisis act like it’s a crisis”

From Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit; just like my “what you do afterwards is most important”, the most important part of his meme is “act like it’s a crisis“.  In other words, don’t just flap yer gums, DO it.  Honor your words, show us that you’re serious.  Just like Bette Midler!

Say, how many carbon emission credits you do need to buy to offset the electricity and heating and cooling energy use in a 12-room, 3,100-square-foot triplex in Manhattan; a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 5,918-square-foot home in Dover Plains, New York; a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 3,785 square-foot home in Beverly Hills, and a house in Hawaii? Or the use of a private jet? (A private jet crossing the Atlantic emits about 21 tons of carbon dioxide; the average American produces about 19 tons of carbon dioxide in a year.)

It’s obvious – it’s not a crisis.  Consider that tweet the ranting of someone that craves attention and just wants to feel good about herself.  Without really doing anything of substance about it.
