Drudge Report went full siren alert this morning over a WaPo report that The GOP elites are SO worried an outsider might win the nomination that they are once again talking of resurrecting Romney.
What these chimps chumps don’t realize is that they are the reason why Romney (and McCain) lost, and why the GOP brand is so badly damaged that only totally “new management” of the Party will help! We may not have agreed with Romney on everything, but he was a fiercely competitive campaigner who took no prisoners on our side, and landed plenty of body blows on Obama, right up to the point where the Establishment consultants took charge.
If these bozos are lucky, and keep their hands off, Rubio will be their standard-bearer, while Cruz, Trump, Fiorina, or Carson will be the standard-bearer for the conservative grassroots – if they can STILL keep their hands off, one of the outsiders will WIN and restore the GOP brand. If they continue to believe they can choose our candidates for us, they, and the country, will lose, and the GOP’s death spiral will accelerate.
We are dedicated to the conservative principles for which the GOP supposedly stands – a little piece of hypocrisy which Trump spotlighted when he signed the loyalty pledge – the problem is that the Party elite has abandoned those principles, and THAT is why outsiders are doing so well!
