Ambassador Danny Dannon stands before the UN Security Council displaying a sign which reads, “How to stab a jew,” in the aftermath of a Palestinian marking himself as a member of the press and attacking an Israeli soldier. He was shot dead.
Riyad Mansour, who is identified as the, “Palestinian Ambassador to the UN, placed blame in what he called, “Israeli ‘terror’ through its occupation of East Jerusalem.” Fox news quotes Mansour when he said such actions “will not break the will of our people.” Yes, How to Stab a Jew.
Mansour is what a terrorist looks like when you bathe him, shave him and put a suit on him. But at the end of the day, he is just another run-of-the-mill terrorist scumbag, given voice by the useless and pandering United Nations.
Palestinians have put forth successfully two lies that has sparked this latest round of violence. First lie is that Israel is attempting to destroy the Al -Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem; And, The Israelis executed a Palestian Boy. Both totally untrue. In fact, were it no for the presence of Israeli Security forces, the Mosque would have met its’ demise at the hands of Islamic fundamentalists, long ago.
Hamas President has never condemned any attack by Palestinians on Israel. Hamas is the chief denier of a Jewish State, ubiquitously restating their mantra that, “Jews are descended from apes and pigs.” And the world community sits on its ass on the sidelines and says nothing for violence fomented by Hamas and speaks endlessly to Israel showing restraint when it acts in its own security interests.
So in this latest round of attacks, Palestinians are mounting terrorist attacks on Israeli Citizens with knives…stabbing them. People are being killed by terrorists who have armed themselves with knives.
In response, citizens are seeking guns for personal protection.
The Israeli government has relaxed gun licensing laws, enabling citizens to defend themselves from these ongoing hamas attacks.
Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan enacted a number of changes to existing laws, as Security forces deal with Hamas violence centered around Jerusalem.
Security Minister Gilad Erdan scrapped restrictions on serving or reservist IDF officers from obtaining private firearms, and individual citizens who have undergone security training.
The government will now allow certain local councils to issue gun licenses to individuals living and working in the area, versus having applicants to travel to one of the Internal Security Ministry offices.
Israeli gun laws are far tighter than in the US, and there exists no universal right to bear arms. Most firearms seen in public are used by soldiers, police or security guards. Citizens living and working in areas with a higher security risk must normally fulfill a number of other criteria in order to be eligible to apply. Private gun permits are restricted to handguns only in Israel.
But the object lesson here is the governmental response to violence. Unlike America, Israel takes a utilitarian approach to violence and trusts its citizens with guns. In America, as the violence increases…or the perception of violence, calls to remove guns increase exponentially.
Despite Israel’s tough gun laws, when there is a problem, they trust their citizens to help solve the problem and further recognize that law enforcment and Security Forces cannot be everywhere at one time.
