Ah! Someone is getting the idea that you can have Open Border and a big Welfare State – but not at the same time

From Instapundit: how to stop Hijrah

F YOU DON’T WANT THEM TO COME, JUST LIMIT WELFARE BENEFITS TO CITIZENS: Denmark Places Anti-Refugee Ads in Lebanese Newspapers. But that’s not too far off:

The plain text flyer continued by informing readers that the Danish Parliament has just passed a regulation to reduce social benefits for newly arrived refugees by up to 50 percent. It then listed six other obstacles refugees would face, including a language requirement to obtain permanent residence and a waiting period of at least five years.

In addition, the ad informs readers that “foreign nationals granted temporary protection in Denmark will not have the right to bring family members to Denmark during the first year.”

There’s lots I wish to comment on the topic of what I consider to be a Muslim invasion (hijrah) into Europe and from commentary, video, and images, I am convinced it is just that.  Again, why NOT leave a hellhole of a Middle East to live in a prosperous country that will pay you just to live there?  We are so conditioned, here in the West, that invasion can only be by gunpowder and troops.  Well, displacement by a new majority and a stubborn unwillingness to assimilate can do the same thing – just ask Britain, France, Sweden, and Denmark how their inner cities are doing?  And yet, Germany’s Premier Angela Merkal is all happy feet about “this will change our country!”

Yeah, wait until “Allahu Akbar” is all you see and hear.  Change will come – not betting you’ll like it.

At least Denmark has realized “Houston, we have a problem” with their open border policy thus far – it is realizing, like Holland, that it has not turned out the way that the multiculturalist promised so long ago.  It is one thing to be additive for a given society – supplanting cultural norms, philosophy, and a common outlook is not additive but subtractive on an orthogonal way that will make it a country-in-location only.  Just because people arrive to a new country it doesn’t mean that they automatically want to be like their hosts.  Gaming the system – hey, from where they came, that works all day long and Westerners think it charity.  No, it is abuse of Western values.  And many of these so-called refugees are called that to simply be Politically Correct and affect an attitude of “we must take care of those that cannot care for themselves”.  Yeah, the story of that drowned 3 year old boy is not one of “give us your poor, your huddled masses” but of a father sending his family ahead of him to get on welfare so he could get his teeth fixed.  Yup, running away from oppression, war, and famine from a Turkish construction job where he was working the last few years.

Me?  I just look at the Boston Marathon bombers, the Tsarnov brothers, as a hint of future history for all these countries when ISIS has already said that it has snuck over 4, ooo trained Islamists fighters in this flood of humanity.

And will we learn from their lessons?  I think know – for all of the influx Europe is dealing with right now, we have the same problem on our border and on immigration policies – and the last two Presidents have just grinned widely as our shields have been dropped.  If this keeps up, America, that last shining beacon, will just become just another country – and maybe not a First World one either.  Just read the writings of Victor Davis Hanson on how many parts of California, outside of where the Beautiful People live around the coastal areas, are becoming no better or worse than any 3rd world country.
