I really do think he’s having fun this Presidential cycle

After all, how many political operatives, especially one that is not well liked by the Establishment Republicans (especially here in NH) get to prove the latter wrong and is the campaign manager for the guy leading the race – who also is holding up a digit to said Establishment by leading in the polls by double digits? How many political operatives in the country EVAH get the opportunity to do this?  And having a lot of fun all the while?  Corey Lewandowski had a few bon mots with Brietbart (emphasis mine, reformatted).

Sunday night Donald Trump’s Campaign Manager, Corey Lewandowski, lambasted the GOP establishment consultant class, when he joined Breitbart’s senior political investigative reporter Matthew Boyle on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot radio, channel 125. Lewandowski explained that what most infuriates the establishment consultants is they don’t have any say in Trump’s campaign or platform. “It drives them crazy. They want to say ‘I’ve run a campaign in the past. Pay me for my knowledge. I’ve been involved with previously failed presidential campaigns,’” he said.

With Trump “That’s not how his campaign works,” added Lewandowski. “We don’t want these consultants who talk about the glory old days of races they were involved with that weren’t successful. Anything that they can do to try and control Mr. Trump does not work.”

The Massachusetts native, who earned a Masters in Political Sciences from American University, told Breitbart Sunday listeners that ‘Time and time again they have said, ‘Trump won’t run. He won’t file the paperwork. He won’t fill out his personal financial disclosure statement. He won’t be a factor in the race. And every time, everyone of these pundits have been wrong. And they continue to be wrong.”

Because they are hide-bound.  It is kinda like F.A. Hayek’s “The Pretense of Knowledge” applied to politics.  They can’t see that Trump (and Corey) are playing MMA to their Marquis of Queensbury rules (to make an analogy). They seem trapped in “what always has been” instead of “what can be done”?  It is like a rerun, in a different venue, of how the Obama datanaughts rewrote the Get Out The Vote (GOTV) rules back in 2008 and 2012.  Right now, we are seeing the campaign rules being rewritten for campaigning – and it all comes down to attitude.

Lewandowski believes the consultants are “grasping at straws to say anything that they can so that they can find a way to stop Mr. Trump from being the nominee and the next president of the United States.” According to the latest YouGov poll, Lewandowski points out, two in three Republicans say Trump can win next November. “This is something that can’t be stopped,” the campaign manager insisted. “It is so detrimental to the ruling political class, that they can’t control it, they don’t know what to do.”

With Trump regularly doubling up the rest of the field in the polls and FAR outnumbering attendance in rallies shows that the Smart People consultant class (and some of the candidates themselves have SEVERLY gotten the needs and current attitudes of the base that they, as far as the Primary is concerned, need.  And as they continue to miss that (or in some of the candidate cases, are holding back even as they know better).

The NH Establishment Rs may hate him, but even as they keep saying “you’ll never have a job in this state again!” – well, he keeps on having one, doesn’t he (and not for nuthin’, with more digits to the left of the decimal point). And yes, knowing Corey, he’s taking care of business of the details (the reason for more digits):

The campaign has built out a very robust team with the best talent available to move Trump forward to getting elected, Lewandowski believes. “We have a large team in place in Iowa, a big team in  South Carolina, a big team in New Hampshire… the amount of people volunteering for the campaign is incredible and humbling. We will role [sic] out a team that is going to stun the political world. Time and again they have underestimated Mr. Trump to their own demise. They have tried to attack him to their own demise. We will let those pundits who have been proven wrong many many times be proven wrong one more time.”

Keep smiling, ‘Grok friend Corey – yer drivin’ them nuts!
