Rednecks and Recruiting Stations

“The mainstream media has its own agenda. They do not want to print the facts. They have an agenda, they have a slant, they have a bias. It is outrageous to me.”  Curt Weldon
armed+forces+recruiting+station“Rednecks and Recruiting Stations,” is yet another theme in the liberal Screed. Espoused by the Lamestream media, the purpose remains to leave our recruiters unguarded, unprotected and still vulnerable.  Recruiting stations, despite being a target, are the same now as they were before Chattanooga. This back hand come from the top down: Obama commanded his military command staff to parrot the message to Americans: Stand down.

People…most of whom were veterans,  began showing up armed at Armed Forces Recruiting Stations. Their personal mission was to provide armed protection. But as usual, the liberals were having none of it. When liberals object to anything, they disparage it. Hence enter the Hillbillies and Rednecks, both disparaging terms common to the left-wing lexicon.
Today, we present you with this media bias test. The liberal media shows up for the story: “Citizens armed themselves to protect Recruiters…” So, which photo does the photographer take?
This photo?
Hillbillies-guns
 or this photo?
Recruiting Station GuardsIf you guessed the first photo, you would most likely be correct. The second photo rarely ever ends up in any story about Americans protecting recruiting stations.
But the lamestream media isn’t the only problem here. Also are those mental midgets who played right into their hands. Indeed, many merely showed up to make a statement about their views, their political leanings or their way of life. A morbidly obese guy who shows up with a lawnchair, a Lee-Enfield .303 bolt action rifle and a Big Gulp from Seven-Eleven, does not convey or communicate even the slightest of degrees of seriousness about a mission to protect the lives of others.
Too many who showed up at recruiting stations did so out of some emotional response to a bad situation, and without a plan. A lawn chair and a soda is not a plan. To not acknowledge that would be less than honest. The second amendment applies to all Americans, not just the ones who think themselves the smartest guys in the neighborhood.
On the one hand, the lamestream media is predictable. Under the best of circumstances, they will take the most negative photos, chase the stupid sound bite, and play gotcha with those who support and advocate for the second amendment. With the recent “guarding” of Recruiting stations, some people selfishly co-oped being there for their own purposes, opting to showcase a lifestyle, make an ancillary political statement or just act dumb. On the other hand, there were those who showed up out of genuine concern for our recruiters who have a commander in chief who loathes the military. Either way, once constant was that few took seriously the intent of this civilian-initiated project.
I was wondering how long it would be before the liberals struck back…It only took a week.
