Blog Observation – the NH GOP Resolution condemning Planned Parenthood

Given the tape of Planned Parenthood negotiating for baby parts / organs from those aborted babies, a lot of people are looking both askance at and deeply into what this “social issue” truly means for our Society.  It IS EVIL, what is going on and what is being done.  Good on the NH GOP, as Steve posted here, for calling out and holding the Democrats accountable that enable this to happen.

But with this Resolution, one thing caught my eye and made me think “hypocrites one again” – they call for the Democrats to clean their house but never getting around to cleaning their own house?  When they wrote (abstracted, emphasis mine):

…WHEREAS Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider and receives and relies upon taxpayer funding and private contributions to defray the cost of providing abortions; and

Private contributions – that would be NH GOP Committeeman Steve Duprey.  A wealthy man, able to give a lot – and does give directly to Planned Parenthood even as, the Resolution rightly points out:

…WHEREAS the inhumanity of Planned Parenthood violates all reasonable standards of decency and civilized conduct; and

I do not begrudge his wealth at all.  I DO call him out for his complicity in this atrocity.  The Resolution correctly stated the offense – killing babies over which to profit.  It continues

…WHEREAS because of the close financial and ideological ties between the Democratic Party and Planned Parenthood, prominent Democrats holding elective office such as Gov. Hassan, Sen. Shaheen, Rep. Kuster, and Executive Councilors Pappas and Van Ostern have stood silent in the face of Planned Parenthood’s heinous conduct and remain willing to continue to funnel taxpayer money to this predatory organization, demonstrating once again that only the Republican Party values and is prepared to protect innocent human life.

“…continue to funnel taxpayer money to this predatory organization“.  A vote is coming up soon in the Executive Council on funding

So why does the NH GOP attack the Dems but CONTINUES to stand silent in the face of Planned Parenthood’s heinous conduct and not do the right thing and also call out its own?  WHY does it remain silent in the complicity of its own high ranking and elected officials?  Where is the morality in avoiding their own whose work is on par with what they castigate the Dems over?

And yes, if  NH GOP Committeeman Steve Duprey AND NH Executive Councilor Chris Sununu are going to fund Planned Parenthood, personally and with our tax monies, how is their sin different than the Dems?  Are they somehow set apart simple because they have an R after their name instead of a D?  After all, you can’t do this:

RESOLVED that the NHRSC supports and commends the many elected Republicans who have spoken out and drawn attention to the unconscionable practices of Planned Parenthood, and in particular Senator Kelly Ayotte for her demand that there be a formal investigation into Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in the vital organs of infants; and

RESOLVED that financial and other forms of support of Planned Parenthood by those holding elective office within the NHRSC are irreconcilable with the fundamental beliefs of the Republican Party; and

RESOLVED that it is the duty of every elected Republican to take those actions within the scope of their elective offices that will deprive Planned Parenthood of public funding of any kind; and

RESOLVED that the NHRSC calls on Governor Hassan, Senator Shaheen, Executive Councilors Pappas and Van Ostern, and the New Hampshire Democratic Party to denounce trafficking human body parts and to return all campaign contributions from Planned Parenthood of New Hampshire PAC, its predecessor Planned Parenthood of Northern New England PAC, its officers and employees, and all those profiting from the sale of human organs; and

And GraniteGrok adds ANY Republican to that list that hold office in NH and office within the NH GOP.  Name the names, otherwise it doesn’t stop.  NO ONE is above calls upon NH GOP Committeeman Steve Duprey and NH Executive Councilor Chris Sununu to do the same – denounce PP and its practices and turn from their wicked ways.

And I also call out NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn (and whatever nitwit(s) that wrote this Resolution) to yank out the beam that is in her eye that is as weighty as those in the Democrats.  If you cannot have the moral fortitude to call out evil anywhere it is, regardless of Party, then you are a moral coward and no leader in this area.  Evil is evil

And you have remained silent to the evil within your own Party.  A coward, simply for mere partisanship.  Without speaking out, your words ring hollow and lose their meaning.  I’m quite sure the Dems are LAUGHING at you and the NH GOP E-Board.

Times are a’calling for courage – morally and politically.  Stand up and MEAN WHAT YOU SAY.  Do you have such courage, Jennifer, to stop skirting around this black hole in your vision and moral sense?

Are you up to the task?
