“Jeb Bush Now Tops Field; 75% of Republicans Say They Could Support Him
—Ace
When asked for comment, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan said, “I pray them all strength.”

So, are we done?

A long time ago the Washington Post slurred — I thought — the conservative movement as “poor, uneducated, and easily-led.”

We keep making great gestures and displays of upset and revolt but then… well, we just keep seeming to go along with The Plan.

I don’t know; maybe it’s not that bad. The MoE on this was 6.38%. And as far as 75% of Republicans being able to support Jeb — well, yes. Versus the declared socialist Bernie Sanders or the dishonest, lying socialist Hillary Clinton, you’d best believe I could support Jeb.

I’d just rather not to.

What galls me is that everyone says we’re at a crisis, but then we keep acting like it’s 1996, and the economy is in expansion and the world is at relative peace.

That is, we keep saying this is not the time for business as usual, yet we (or at least a majority of the party) sure seems to be in favor of business as usual.

Are we so f***ing complacent we go along with Business as Usual when the world’s on fire?

“As @jpodhoretz noted, the GOP primary voter sub samples are 250ish, so 5 people = 2%, and could be enough to decide who is/isn’t on stage.” — Kristen S Anderson (@KSoltisAnderson) June 22, 2015

I have raised h#ll over this stupid debate idea. It doesn’t seem to matter.

The Establishment has a perfect defense against the hostile opinion of the base: They don’t give a wet s#it what you think.

Business as usual. Business as usual. Let’s not upset any applecarts. Let’s not cross Fox. These Corporate/Establishment types seem to know what they’re doing. Let’s not do anything crazy like questioning them.

We’re in the business of putting on Fake Debates, and we shouldn’t change our Fake Debate Format at all to take into account that there are 16 or so candidates, and that some of the most important will be left out of the debate because five people said on a telephone call they supported someone else.

We need an orderly pantomime of pretending to select a leader. It has to look good on TV. It needs to look lifelike, at least from the front angles.

I’m really running out of all hope.”
