Stubborn things

It occurred to me that perhaps Governor Hassan’s Most High Deputy Minion (MHDM) Christopher Kennedy may have found himself between a rock and a hard place after yesterday’s meeting with representatives of the Women’s Defense League where he was presented with the history of NH’s 92 years of legal discrimination.

How so, you might ask.

A famous dead white guy once said “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence..”

It may just be that the MHDM failed to do his homework and simply listened to what he’d been told by others, either or both leading him to pooh-pooh the facts.  It may be that he is unfamiliar with libraries (although you’d think even millennial minions understand the concept of DIGITAL archives) where one can actually research and learn stuff.  It may be that all of a sudden, he realized that if he presents “stubborn facts” to the governor, of which she herself is unaware, having failed to uncover them himself as her MHDM, he may find himself in a bit of a sticky situation.

So, what’s a minion to do?  Keep the information to himself?  “Shoot” the messengers?  Tell the truth and bear the consequences?

Stay tuned.
