Mr. Rubio, if our Government is not abiding by the Rule of Law

While most of the other GOP 2016 contenders have urged resistance to the Supreme Court’s Friday ruling on same-sex marriage, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said Americans “must abide by the law.”

In a statement on his website, Rubio said he believes in traditional marriage as central to a strong family life, but then added:

While I disagree with this decision, we live in a republic and must abide by the law. As we look ahead, it must be a priority of the next president to nominate judges and justices committed to applying the Constitution as written and originally understood.

Rubio is missing big time on the sentiment that is starting to grow on the Right – while the Left (abiding by the Rule of Alinsky) has adopted “the end justifies By Any Means Necessary”, and we see the signs and actions of this all over by Democrats not abiding by The Law, they are starting to ask themselves “Why should I – to my own detriment? Why should I not be able to defend my values, my traditions, against those that are actively moving to take them away”?

And as I have said before, faith in the Republican Party to

stand up and brawl for them.  Instead, we actively see those in DC helping Obama.  Sure, they TALK about stopping Obama but as we are seeing, McConnel and Boehner are not stopping him but ACTIVELY working to give Obama more power via TPP and TPA – all the while abrogating / limiting their Constitutional responsibilities.

In short, they are no longer willing to do the heavy lifting, the hard decisions, the “my butt is in danger” votes.  But they keep telling us they are – and then don’t.  “Give us majorities!”, they said.  We did.  What has it changed with respect to stopping Obama?  Nothing – they’ve given away that power (that of the Purse) because they are so scared of being called bad names.  The fight to fight is always the next time.  In the mean time, we lose.  Not them, that is – we the people.

Remember: winning is only a precursor; it is what you do afterwards that is important.  But to these CYAsters, only that first clause seems to “reality”.  Why do we put up with them and the Party that enables them?

UpdateHot Air had more and this Rubio line caught my eye:

In the years ahead, it is my hope that each side will respect the dignity of the other.”

This is Straight up delusional.  Has he not been observant at all as to what the Left has been doing?  Has he talked with Brendan Eich, the florists, the photographers, the wedding chapel owners with respect to the “dignity” that was shown to them?

And when, under the guise of being a Constitutional Right, what will his response be when his Dad gets targeted by a militant gay couple demanding he wed them (and trust me, I’m quite sure that someone, somewhere, has thought of it already as being GREAT political theater) and is brought before some Human Rights Council or Federal Court for civil rights violations?
