Governor Hassan: End State Sanctioned Discrimination in New Hampshire

Women's Defense League of NH banner

The Women’s Defense League of New Hampshire (WDL or ‘The League’) is asking Governor Hassan to end state-sanctioned discrimination in New Hampshire and to allow SB116 to become law.

The League is holding a press conference in Concord today (in just a few minutes) in support of SB116 which would make the concealed carry pistol-revolver license in New Hampshire optional.  The bill has passed both the House and Senate and awaits the signature of Governor Maggie Hassan.

I’ve included below links and embeds to all of the press Conference/ Press release materials. The press insert (the history and discriminatory purpose of allowing government officials to determine who is suitable).  The complete results of a WDL New Hampshire Pistol License Survey of 833 Registered New Hampshire Voters.  And the formal WDL Press release.

I have been allowed to publish this before any other press or media has access so you may have an opportunity here to act upon it before other media outlets.

WDL Poll Results.

 833 registered New Hampshire voters were interviewed from May 18 to 22, 2015. The margin of sampling error is
+/-3.4%. Included were 294 Democrats; 343 Republicans and 296 Undeclared. 100% of interviews for the poll were
conducted over the phone. There was a total of 6 questions asked throughout each county in New Hampshire;
following is a summary of the findings:
