The Left is always telling us on the Right to “Coexist”

coexist religionsI think we’ve all seen this bumper sticker that spells out “Coexist” using the symbols of the world’s major religions, right (although I do like this Conservative one as well)?  And the Left is always telling us that we must do the same with its Social Justice Warrior (SJW) agenda – that we must accept they’re pushing.

Shot (Star Parker):

The truth is that the objective of the homosexual campaign is not about American freedom. The objective is the delegitimization and annihilation of Christianity in America.

Chaser (and proof) Frank Bruni (NYT columnist and gay activist) :

…So our debate about religious freedom should include a conversation about freeing religions and religious people from prejudices that they needn’t cling to and can indeed jettison, much as they’ve jettisoned other aspects of their faith’s history, rightly bowing to the enlightenments of modernity

Here, Bruni decides that by his fiat, religion must reject itself and accept and be absorbed by this “modern age’s” secular humanism without question (even as it is often diametrically opposed to those religious beliefs).  And then the final excoriation begins.  But also, that and the following takes the mask completely down:

… Religion is going to be the final holdout and most stubborn refuge for homophobia.

Even as almost all Christian do not have an irrational fear of homosexual, Bruni continues the slander; not exactly the way to make friends and influence people.  But here is what most on the Right have said what has been the plot all along (just that the Left and gay militants haven’t been open in stating it):

…“Conservative Christian religion is the last bulwark against full acceptance of L.G.B.T. people,” Gushee said.

…Gold told me that church leaders must be made “to take homosexuality off the sin list.”

It was never about decriminalization.  It was never about civil unions.  It was never about gay marriage.  It was fundamentally destroying all Civil Societal institutions that prevented a full acceptance of the 2-5% of the population that defines itself as other then heterosexual.  It IS about the fundamental transformation of others’ deeply held beliefs.  And if that cannot be done, it is clear from Bruni’s column that nothing less than full acceptance is acceptable (coerced if necessary, which they seem to wish to believe is true acceptance)

And then the last thing will be mandatory celebration.

Which is no liberty at all.  And they have become that which they have hated for decades.
