On Thursday the New Hampshire House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee voted on SB 116 also known as ‘Constitutional Carry’. The bill was passed by a vote of 10-6 and was recommended as ‘Ought to Pass’. The bill will now go to the full House for a vote by all representatives.
During the committee discussions about the bill, Representative Geoffrey Hirsh (Democrat – Merrimack) spoke against restoring Granite Staters rights. What was Hirsch’s reasoning for not restoring the rights of his constituents? The horrific case in Bedford where a mother killed her children and then committed suicide.
Hirsch actually used the blood of dead children to project his psychosis onto all law-abiding citizens in New Hampshire. All of the facts and evidence in the case have not been made public but Hirsch somehow believes that a pistol license would have somehow stopped this horrific tragedy.
This is yet another example of a gun control extremist using the actions of one person to take away the rights of the majority who would never in a million years think about doing something like that. Without using any logic whatsoever, Hirsch wants you to believe that if SB 116 is passed, somehow more Mothers are going to kill their children. That is how inherently evil people like him think.
It’s disturbing this man is a state representative and believes his constituents are going to kill their children because of legislation. SB 116 restores the rights of Granite Staters and does absolutely nothing to make the state more dangerous (See Vermont’s crime stats, they’ve had Constitutional Carry since their inception). What’s making the state more dangerous are representatives like Hirsch who are irrational, extreme and seek to infringe upon the fundamental rights of the people to protect themselves in the name of ‘control’.
