2016 Presidential Primary – Rand Paul to announce April 7th

Rand Paul On Presidential Non-RightOK, last night I had a complete case of writer’s block.  I couldn’t type a period – sad, sad.  So this is a bit of late news:

Next week, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is expected to kick off his own announcement with a five-state tour. More from the Washington Times:

Rand Paul will formally declare his candidacy for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination with a five-state, five-day announcement tour next month, Republicans knowledgeable about the Kentucky senator’s plans told The Washington Times.

Mr. Paul will make his announcement first in Louisville at noon on April 7, then head to New Hampshire on April 8, Charleston, S.C., on April 9, Iowa City on April 10 and Las Vegas on April 11.

The first Republican primary debate is set for August 15, 2015 in Ohio.

Sure, one of our on-going mantras lately is “screw DC, save NH” – but we do have to keep a hoary eyeball DC as what happens there does screw things up here.  So, we’ll be trying to get as many of these Prez Wannabees on GrokTALK! and get to their events as we have done since our start – doing the citizen journalism that the MSM refuses to do AND doing more than just the 30 second sound bite or 2″ of column ink – we put up the entire video.

Yes, we’ve had Ted Cruz on the show and have been to one of his events.  And, we are going to be doing another remote broadcast of GrokTALK! this Saturday at the Portsmouth Country Club to help out our friends at the Seacoast Republican Women’s Club (who have ALWAYS treated us nicely) – and yes Ted Cruz will be there as well. At this point, must a case of opportunities offered and accepted.

We have reached out to the Rand Paul campaign (and a few others as well) and hope to have him on the show and we’ll go to some of his events so that YOU, our readers and watchers, can make up your own minds from the complete videos.  We do have a Grokster going to his event  (April 8th) as well.

It is what we do.  It is who we are.

Yeah, we’ll pick someone sooner or later to endorse (if someone meets our rather high standards – and there is the chance that no one will) – but in the meantime, we’ll hope to get as much info to you as we possibly can.
