I guess this shows that Democrats hate The Rule of Law

Executive Orders?  Ignoring court decisions?  No problem the first and and feel free to pay no attention to the second.  They ought to be REAL careful for what they wish for; from CNSNews (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Rasmussen: Plurality of Democrats think Obama should be able to ignore court rulings if it’s “important”

…Turns out, in fact, that they’re willing to go even further than he is. Obama tends to limit himself to summarily rewriting federal statutes, like immigration laws and ObamaCare’s employer mandate. Democrats wonder: Why not rewrite some federal court rulings too?

Legislature, Judicial, Executor – why NOT do it all, these horribly dangerous people are thinking?  King Obama I, such a lovely ring to it…

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 26% of Likely U.S. Voters think the president should have the right to ignore federal court rulings if they are standing in the way of actions he feels are important for the country…But perhaps more unsettling to supporters of constitutional checks and balances is the finding that 43% of Democrats believe the president should have the right to ignore the courts. Only 35% of voters in President Obama’s party disagree, compared to 81% of Republicans and 67% of voters not affiliated with either major party…

And you wonder why the phrase “Post-Constitutional” keeps popping up lately?  The sad thing is that these clueless nitwits don’t understand is what the next few steps would bring.  Sure, a Utopia will ensue but they have NO idea of whose Utopia it will be.  No rules MEANS no rules – and all bets are off.

[W]hile 72% of GOP voters and 63% of unaffiliateds believe it is more important to preserve our constitutional system of checks and balances than for the federal government to operate efficiently, Democrats are evenly divided

Women and younger voters feel more strongly than men and those 40 and older that the president should have the right to ignore federal court rulings. Black voters believe that more than whites and other minority voters do.

As a person that does believe in The Rule of Law and that it should be held sacrosanct.  Else, we are just a mob and the Rule of the Strong Man holds sway – and why not?  The Rule of Law puts a limiting factor on EVERYONE – no one is exempt from it.  It IS the ability to have surety of how things work that has powered this country for centuries.  One of the reasons this country is not doing as well has it could be is the insecurity we have in the current legislative and regulatory uncertainty. And now they want to unscrew and uncork even more?

There is no small number of people who have been saying just this kind of thing has been coming for a long time as our elected leaders first started paying lip service to this all and, lately, just flat out ignoring it.  We’ve been writing about this for a while; I foresee bad things in our future.  No, it may not happen today, or tomorrow, but if anyone wants to push this “envelope” it would be Obama.  Or some other Progressive will extend where we are on this slippery slope.

And guess what happens then!
