Good point – why IS that?

JailbarsReally – Jonah Goldberg comments on the fact that Judicial Watch was able to pry these email out of the State Deptment…and Congress?

But I have an honest and un-sensational question to ask. Is there a good explanation for why Judicial Watch and similar groups routinely seem able to get better information and documents than Congress? Isn’t this a strange set of affairs? Why does it seem like it’s so much easier to stonewall Congress than it is some judge? Am I missing something? I’ll take my answer off the air.

Why is it, at all levels, that our Government, paid for by our tax dollars, can’t be forthright and just fork that stuff over?  In this case, I can see that it is an Obama Administration continuing to stiff-arm the Republican controlled Congress – not transparency, not truthfulness, but an Alinsky spawned effort to rub the wound over and over again, to stick a stick into Congress’s eye.

Why the difference?  Simple – Congress has turned into patsies and these unelected bureaucrats KNOW that a judge has no such reservations and would find them or clap them into jail.  Congress could do more against this – but they won’t.  Sorry, but until they use the IRS method (“make an example of somebody and scare the rest into compliance”) and go AFTER someone, the Obama Admin will continue to show them the bird.
