Did you know there ARE rules for RINOs?

No matter where you happen to be or how many of them you cast.
No matter where you happen to be or how many of them you cast.

Heh!  I’m not sure I’d want to take that task on – enumerating those kinds of rules.  You see, standing on solid foundations are just so much easier to navigate through life – you never have to worry where you stand.  Or what your stances are.  RINOs?  The moderate middle?  Squishes?  The “just sounds right” crowd?  To me, that would be MUCH harder – just imagine really trying to keep track of your stances / votes of yesterday, last week, last month, last year, last decade and all the times inbetween.  I certainly couldn’t do it – nor would I want to.  And then in some kind of discussion, trying to defend what I can’t remember because I’ve flip-flopped more times John Kerry?  So I thought this at Conservative Review, outlining the attributes of a RINO, was kinda of amusing….

It becomes clearer every day that there are not only two parties in Washington, D.C., but there are also two wings of the Republican Party. Conservatives who fight for limited government, fewer taxes, less regulation, more freedom, devolving federal power to the states, prudent immigration, and constitutional principles…So what guides these powerful liberal Republicans?

Here are the 8 RINO rules:

1. Bait and Switch
This can also be referred to as “politics over principle” or “don’t fight now, fight later”…

2. Show Me the Money
Votes win elections and money is used to get votes, therefore simple calculus tells a RINO that money is the most important thing ever…

3. Fear
This one is simple – they instill fear in you the voter. You don’t want a Democrat in office – do you?

4. Governing
This word is politician-speak for capitulation. If they ever use this word, they are probably a RINO, because it means they are more concerned with keeping power, making friends, or raising money…

5. Double Standards
RINOs love double standards. They moan and complain about conservative primary challenges, but two years away from their next election, they will spend millions bashing and hammering conservatives back home in an effort to soften the ground for their next race….Again, politics, money, and fear are major cornerstones of these members, and they work well when it comes to double standards. Plus, double standards help them explain away their sellout votes with ease…

6. Me Too
Originating in the 1930’s, a term that tells the listener the RINO in question agrees with Democrats on issues with only moderating differences. As in when a Democrat says, “I believe in federal funding and involvement in education” the RINO responds, “Me too. But there is another way to manage this better…

7. Pragmatic
Pragmatic in the world of both RINO’s and leftists is a buzz word meaning “not conservative.” The implication, sometimes stated outright, is that conservatism is “ideological” while “liberalism” is just plain reality…

8. Preemptive Surrender
RINOs love to announce their plans to surrender in advance. For example, after the 2014 midterms, liberal Republican Leadership in both the House and the Senate announced that no matter what Obama did or would do to bypass Congress, they wouldn’t use any must pass bill as a leverage point. For all practical purposes the Establishment surrendered before they even took the field…

Amusing…until you think that these folks make decisions about our lives and our liberties.  More on each of these rules at CR – consider this the abridged version.  So what to do if you are a Conservative or Libertarian with, you know, actual Principles?  Well, all we need is two rules:

  1. Forget their words and their promises – concentrate only on their RESULTS.
  2. Don’t give us the results we demand – we will bring you Pain

They want to be loved, want to be respected, wish to hear the accolades.  Most of all, they want #2 above and the MOST important is The Win with your votes.  What is The Pain?  Anything that shows them they are unloved, disrespected, deny them the applause, dry up their donor monies.

And most important, deny them your votes.  Keep this in mind (because they HATE IT): “Winning is only the precursor; it is what you do afterwards that is important”.

And change YOUR paradigm.  No longer settle for “least worst”.  With the devaluation of American Citizenship, we almost only have our Vote left.  Consider it to be your most precious of things – and only spend it when someone has entirely EARNED it with their Results.  And withhold it when candidates don’t.

You will hear the Establishment Republicans scream at you if you tell them that – because bowing to “the Democrat will win” unmasks them.  Change from their voting paradigm (vote for the least worst) to one of *I* will determine if you provide sufficient value to me – just like any good or service in the marketplace.  That, too, is another thing – they do not want you to think this way because it lays them bare and bereft of bluster.  No bluster as a tool?

They lose.  We win.  Remember to tell them as you walk away: We may not win but you will certainly lose

And that, is The Pain.
