“You have made them not care”- NH GOP Elite? Pat yourselves on the back – three MORE just took the Exit door

NH GOP Victory Starts Now LogoMy previous post on Pat Caddell’s observation on the anger among the GOP grassroots (“up to one-third of Republicans are ready to call it quits as members of the GOP“) elicited an inbound email  directed towards the NH GOP (emphasis mine) – a real life example of calling it quits:

Just finished your article on Republicans having come to the end of their rope. My interpretation, not especially yours. I could not agree with you more. I worked very hard to get Republicans elected both in the state and on the national level.

I am a Fox News junkie and find Pat Caddell to be an honest observer of what is happening. Even though he is a Democrat, he is fair in his reporting. I cannot agree more with his assessments. After hard work to get our candidates elected for our district you can imagine how we felt when the NH House speakership was “stolen” from our candidate. Within 3 days I had emails from several of our members that they were going down to the town hall to register as an “undeclared” and to hell with our party…the NH GOP <will>be the big losers.

What happened this week with the reelection of John Boehmer as Speaker of the House was yet another slap in the face to Republicans. We have had it up to our eyeballs with ineffective leadership and professed Republicans being nothing but Democrats in disguise.

It seems like the perception is that GOP / NH GOP “Leadership” is now taking the grassroots for granted.  Even worse, they are seemingly adopting the Progressive attitude “that we know better” and have been acting in such a manner to validate the perception (e.g., McCain outing the grassroots in the AZ GOP ahead of his next run, McConnell’s “We will crush them!”).  I guess the leadership just doesn’t see, understand, or care that their activist base has noticed and isn’t going to play their game.  Why bother expending time, effort, and money in more frustration when the Party elected doesn’t keep its promises and lays a little love down on its hard workers?

Or, it is that they are the RIGHT kind of Republican workers?
