A Letter from a reader to NH US Senator Kelly Ayotte

Senator Ayotte:

I’d like to remind you that the NH State motto, the state you purport to represent, is “Live Free Or Die”.  Live Free from the tyranny of Government, not without government, but with the liberty of the people.  Taking more and more of my hard earned income is a form of tyranny; it curtails my ability to provide for my family and makes it harder for me to secure my family’s liberty.

I wish that instead of being concerned about missing “The Nutcracker” you had been concerned enough to read the bill before you passed it; for that, I thank you for finally showing your true concerns.  Your pattern of voting has made it clear to me that you do not stand for conservative principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility and individual liberty.  Your voting and rhetoric clearly indicates that you wish to consolidate more power in the Federal Government, taking it away from the individuals.

I sent you to Washington DC to show courage; to date, you have shown none.  Courage would have been voting against the “Cromnibus”; funding the Government through February 2015 when the House and the Senate would have leverage to stop the runaway spending, derail the Obamacare train, halt illegal immigration (how about the North Country of NH, think they want more competition for the jobs there?), stopping the slide of the United States to full blown socialism.  History has many examples of failed Socialist countries, why are you helping drag us there?

A simple question, one that I have asked you repeatedly and have yet to get a specific answer: Do you believe that the Federal Government for FY 2015 could not have survived on 99% of the FY2014 budget?

It’s a simple yes or no question.
