The Democrats ran a statewide campaign to tie every House Republican candidate to Bill O’Brien before the election.
They didn’t run a statewide campaign against Gene Chandler or anyone else who might want to be speaker. The Obama agenda is apparently not threatened by Gene Chandler or scheming Party insiders. Only Bill O’Brien.
So if Bill O’Brien represents the single biggest threat to the Democrats Obama agenda in New Hampshire before the election, is it safe to say he represents the biggest threat to the Obama agenda after the election? Democrats thought so and still do.
Voters, given the choice, chose the Bill O’brien agenda, by handing a significant swing of seats from Democrat to Republican with a Republican majority in both legislative chambers and the executive council.
Voters knew what they wanted.
Now, Republican House Reps could buy into the scheming and intimidation of the so-called “bi-partisan” establishment Republican’s who gave us a Democrat-grade attack on our first amendment rights (SB120), Medicaid expansion (billed as the largest welfare expansion in state history), and attacked our second amendment rights (B244) –to name just a few.
They could fall prey to the musings and threats of state or county party chairs wielding threats should they not “fall in line’ with McAmnesty Ayotte’s DC insider Republican stormtroopers.
Or, they could choose the Republican principles for which they were elected, most recently evidenced by the leadership of some guy named William O’Brien. Principles so dire to the Obama/Democrat agenda, that the Democrat party loses its mind at the very thought of it.
Voters ordered the O’Brien agenda. It would be a shame if the House delivered amnesty to the Obama agenda in the short time they’d been given just because the party machine was afraid of bold colors.
