Right now at the national level, there are two things driving the Right blogosphere: Jonathan Gruber and Obama’s extra-Constitutional Amnesty granting. Neither of which have we been commenting on – frankly, we’ve adopted the “screw DC – save NH” outlook and our posting with the elections here in NH has shown that. But while NH is uppermost, we can’t forget that what happens in DC does affect NH – the politics and the policies. Certainly, there is a reason why we have been harping on Obamacare‘s Medicaid Expansion that has been put into place here in NH (yes, by Rogue Republicans) – Obamacare.
And without MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber (Ph.D, health economics), there may have not been an Obamacare at all. The problem was his strategy (obfuscation) and the absolutely nauseating “looking down his nose” disdain for the American voter / taxpayer (even as, collectively, those same voters / taxpayers were paying him Millions). There have been a number of mashups of the video of Gruber boasting of his own smarts and the stupidity of Americans (Steve has another one here); this one is by Jake Tapper (a reputable journalist even as he now works for CNN):
Yes folks, we’ve been Grubered – badly. Both at the national level and here in NH. Remember, Democrats have done it now for years in “hiding” their true intents – they KNOW, just like with Obamacare, that if they were brutally honest about what they want to do, they’d never get any votes at all. That’s what happens when the Progressives’ end justifies any means in their eyes – for they KNOW they are smarter than you all out there. It is their superior smarminess, however, that has persuaded that they don’t have to let you in on their secrets.
