After Senate Democrats met this morning on their future in the minority, Sen. Harry Reid approached his podium flanked by four women Democratic senators – Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).When asked about the emphasis on women on his leadership team, Reid answered that the Senate was now better off with more women.
“It has changed. Women think differently than men and I am so impressed with the women I have in my caucus, that I wanted to reach out to them because they represent what America’s all about,” he said.
Well, in this day and age of Democrat insistence of complete gender equality, isn’t that a sexist remark! After all, if they are “different”, then they are not the same and we all know that feminists don’t take well for absolute equality being trashed….oh, he’s a Democrat (re: instant “get out of gender jail free” card)! Oh, and another slap for the “more Left than thou” Shaheen:
Reid addressed a question about the role that the newly appointed Sen. Elizabeth Warren would play on the Democratic leadership team. “I expect her to be Elizabeth Warren,” Reid replied.
What, no Jeanne Shaheen? I would have thought that Dingy Harry might have wanted to reward her. Back to minority status and out of leadership – 6 years out in the wastelands…and Progressive Jeanne beaten out by an Uber-Progressive. Can’t even do Leftism better….can’t win fer losin’. But that works for me – out of power, shut out of leadership.
