I am supporting Bill O’Brien for Speaker and the article below should make it clear that everyone on this mailing list should do the same.
Remember the days of Doug Scamman and Charlie Bass being in office. higher taxes, bloated budgets, loss of liberties while “Republicans” were in charge… In fact, Bass was so bad that he won his last primary with only 38% of the people “supporting” him. Clearly Bass and Scamman are nothing more the Democrats in Republican clothing.
Bill O’Brien, on the other hand, is the only Republican running for Speaker that has proven he can do what he says he will (e.g., balance the budget with no new taxes or fees). The reason this race is even in the Press is the Big Government types are scared that the people will taste, and like, a small effective Limited Government solution and these politicians will be judged against a standard that they cannot meet.
