The money part was the focus – but it was the last line that should catch EVERYONE’s attention (and then think about it)
The economists had predicted just last year that they expected the total economic impact to South Texas to be $89 billion in 2022. Instead, they now estimate that the impact has already reached almost that amount: $87 billion. What’s making the difference?
Primarily all the jobs from drilling and running pipelines.
“But also because of lots of new manufacturing activity. And a lot of that is being driven by the low cost of natural gas,” said Tunstall.
It IS when “you DID build that”, when new things and value added is innovated that new wealth is created – it is NOT because of government programs. And manufacturing (where many of the Middle Class used to work) requires energy – the cheaper (and with more stable pricing) the better. Right now, the Left and the Obama Administration is doing everything it can to make energy more expensive. And they don’t care what it does as a result; it’s almost as if they hate the Middle Class (all platitudes uttered by them to the opposite). Progressives have their set ideas of what the Middle Class should want and are trying to make that happen. Even if we disagree. (H/T: Instapundit)
