As some of us alluded to the other week, it’s time for the Golfer in Chief to hang up his putter and concentrate on his duties—drive one down the figurative fairway of national security and interest for a change. National security is not a partisan issue, at least it shouldn’t be, so it should be a time when the Commander in Chief speaks to the country to clearly explain a threat and outline his vision for dealing with that threat.
Alas, Obama chose a different course (surprise!), he decided to treat this as he does all the scandals that mar is administration—look the other way, smile and BS long enough and it’ll fade out of public memory. Well, the problem with that approach is that he doesn’t control ISIS as he does, say, the IRS or State Department. They have a say and are very clear about their intentions.
