Every year, the Nashua Republican City Committee has their gala “Steakout” event, where the food is a cut above the normal “rubber chicken” circuit, and the keynote speakers are well worth hearing. Special thanks to the organizers, including Andrew Cernota (Chairman) and Di Lothrop (Events organizer).
This year, we heard from a Republican who is no stranger to tough races, having been elected as both Representative and Governor of the perennially blue state of Maryland. I’d not had chance to hear Bob Ehrlich speak before, but he was quite entertaining, and clearly understands the value that the TEA party and grassroots bring to the table. During his speech, Bob took a few good-natured jabs at part-time Marylander, Walt Havenstein, who also addressed the crowd.
Walt’s speech (I am told) was very similar to his address to the Unity Breakfast that morning, and was gracious towards Andrew Hemingway, contained self-deprecating humor, and was well received by the crowd. Worth a listen.
