Dun=Done: The GOP Bludgeons (Former) Members For Money

It wasn’t just one dunning email, it was a whole flurry of them, all with (in)famous names attached to the address:

Your conservative membership with the NRCC has not yet been renewed in 2014 and is in danger of being deactivated.

This is serious. With a crucial fundraising deadline only 4 days away, the NRCC needs your help to reach this month’s goal.

My response included:

Unless and until the Republican Party understands the importance of preserving the Republic, we grassroots members will, ourselves, “withdraw the whip” from undesirable and incorrigible candidates and work to replace them by offering financial and other support to those more likely to keep our trust.

================ Response to NRCC =================

Replying to the “info@nrcc” ‘In Bin’ in the rather vain hope that someone will read it.
(CC “Info” Bins at NRSC, RNC)

Unless and until the Republican Party becomes once more the party of this constitutional republic of free citizens, it will not receive one penny from me.

I joined the GOP when it was important to advance conservatism, and I found rapidly that most of the party, especially the orange speaker and chinless senate minority leader, have no intention of holding the government and its growing bureaucracies accountable to the Constitution, or to the People.

I send my money to select individual conservatives, and to Club for growth and the Senate Conservatives Fund, as well as to Jim DeMint’s Heritage, in an attempt to elect real conservatives and keep you all honest.

RINOMeanwhile the NRCC and NRSC act as incumbency protection rackets who would rather trample fresh conservatives and preserve RINOsaurs until they die in office, as Thad Cochran surely will – after he stabs you in the back a few times. (Like Arlen Specter did)

It is time for the party to perform some serious introspection, and to stop being the party of perpetual preservation of its least valuable elected members, but instead the party of bold ideas which expects elected members to vote with the party platform a majority of the time.

kat9The UK Parliament has a feature called the “Whip”, which is used two ways:
To instruct members on the importance of a particular vote to the Party’s leadership,
AND
As a privilege which can be withdrawn – if a member does not vote according to the Whip, the Whip can be withdrawn, which means that the member is no longer supported by the party.

What a concept – vote right or lose party support, and give a fresh face a chance to replace you.

Unless and until the Republican Party understands the importance of preserving the Republic, we grassroots members will, ourselves, “withdraw the whip” from undesirable and incorrigible candidates and work to replace them by offering financial and other support to those more likely to keep our trust.

Dear Michael,

As a conservative leader in your local area, you are on the front lines of our fight to defeat President Obama’s liberal agenda and advance real solutions for a smaller, more accountable and less costly government.

If you haven’t yet responded to our emails, I hope I can count on you to click here and renew your membership with a contribution of $25 or more today.

Right now is when your gift will do the most good.. Early voting has already started in many states and our GOTV programs are in full swing.

President Obama’s liberal political machine is running a disgusting campaign.

They’re dumping tens of millions of dollars into smear campaigns designed to distract, deceive and divide the Americans against one another.

There are 40 days to go, and our conservative candidates have the momentum. We can’t let Democrats steal it.
