Arms akimbo: Tap, tap, tap goes the foot, Mr. Gary Lambert…..

“…There is no mention of GraniteGrok, or Mike Rogers, as the source.  (I’ll let Skip or Mike tackle those who use their links without proper attribution.)…”

Gary LambertAs one of the great philosophers of our recent past once said “Here I am, Moe“!  Given Steve’s post, from whence that quote emanated, where he was questioning why the Gary Lambert for Congress campaign would use material associated with the ‘Grok without attribution, I decided to ask so I emailed them a bit ago.  Not hearing back, I decided that perhaps a nudge might be in order:

Subject: Use of GraniteGrok materials without attribution

Gentlemen,
Why Doesn’t Lambert for Congress Mailer Cite GraniteGrok.com?
This is what Steve wrote this post earlier today; please read it for the details.

I have always maintained that any candidate is welcome to use any video or audio that we create in listening to them speak, or talking / interviewing them provided that the give attribution credit to GraniteGrok.

It seems that your recent mailer failed to do so. I am seeking to understand why, and if necessary, seek an apology.  Being an IP lawyer, Gary, you can understand why I am making this inquiry as I have informed you of this policy in the past.

I await your response to both this email and on the vmail I left on you campaign phone (free advice – I’d change that rather useless vmail greeting for 603-438-6333 listed on your site).

GrokTALK!

I await their response.  Democrats did this very thing last cycle without attribution (I am still waiting to receive my apology from Carol Shea-Porter and Maggie Hassan) – willing to steal GraniteGrok material for their own purposes (hey, they’re boldly (and without shame) used to stealing other peoples’ stuff to make themselves feel good – they call it “righting inequalities”).  E tu?

Sidenote: “IP” standing, not for Internet Protocol, but for Intellectual Property.
