Scott Brown: running away from questions AGAIN (on US Supreme Court decision about Hobby Lobby / Religious Freedom)?

scott-brown-serving-the-Kool-AidHe runs away from debates.  He avoids forums.  When he is answering questions, from what I have heard and seen, he’s quite glib in starting to answer and then zig-zagging away off into tangents and not answering the questions directly.  But really, to go hide out in a bathroom to avoid a reporter asking a question on an important issue??

It’s why New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), for example, went to unintentionally amusing lengths to avoid saying anything about the Hobby Lobby ruling. But as Paul Lewis reported, even Christie wasn’t as evasive as former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), now on the campaign trail in New Hampshire.  I found Brown at a table at a restaurant called Priscilla’s, introduced myself as a Guardian reporter and enquired if I could ask him some questions. Brown smiled nervously and replied: “What do you want to ask me about?”

Hobby Lobby? That would be a start,” I said.

“I’m all set,” he replied. “We’re enjoying ourselves right now.”“But you’re standing for Senate. It is routine for journalists to ask you questions and usually the candidates answer.”

Not without notifying my office.”

At that point, Brown reportedly “took shelter in the bathroom.” When the reporter waited in the diner’s parking lot to follow-up, the Republican candidate exited, ran into a car, and left.   As a rule, when politicians feel the need to literally run away from questions, it’s not a good sign.

Political Cowardice.  Hiding behind “his office” – for being a lawyer and a former US Senator, really, you can’t answer a flipping question??  Are you that so unstrung  as to have to consult with your handlers before answering an expected question?  His claim to fame was that he was against Obamacare – the 41st Senator.  So why is he running away from a mere regulation stemming from an ordinary law that conflicts with a natural Right enumerated in the US Constitution?

If he is not willing to take this on during his campaign, WHY should we have faith

Unless of course, he knows that he cannot control that 62% of him that voted with Democrats his last year in the Senate in answering.  He doesn’t trust himself?  Or knows that we won’t?

So now by not answering, we know that he cannot tell us whether he is for Religious Freedom or the newly minted “right” created by Democrats that women should have their contraceptives paid for by others (as if a baby was a disease, or something).

That’s it, that’s it!  Scott Brown must believe that babies are diseases [insert a Walt smirk here]!!

Update from Grokster Mike:

Remember when that tabloid cornered the Breck Girl (John Edwards) in an LA hotel as he snuck in for a tryst with his mistress? He hid in the bathroom and called security to get him away from the reporters!

Well, both ARE lawyers, right?  Both rely on massive marketing campaigns, right?  And now, another gets caught running away (insert obligatory Monty Python bit here):
