Well, maybe. Right now, the White House / President Obama is making noise that all of these illegal alien kids that have been violating our border aren’t “illegal immigrants”, they’re not even “migrants.” Based on his say so, they are ALL deemed to be “refugees from crime, violence, and drugs” even as they face the same pressures and ills of, oh say, two thirds of the planet’s populations. Not to add fire to the pile, but that seems to also describe Chicago under his sidekick’s reign as Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emanuel.
Not waiting for our “national discussion on immigration” to happen (especially as it pertains to Congress and, you know, creating actual LAW!), as he is wont to say (or stealing from his other minion, the impeached head of Obama’s DOJ, AG Eric Holder, who called us all cowards when it came to talking about race – nice way to set THAT discussion), it looks like Obama has already put another set of wheels in motion in pre-deciding how that “national discussion” is going to end up…
Feds quietly dump hundreds of illegal immigrants in Tennessee
Imagine you’re about to sit down for supper when suddenly 760 folks show up on your front porch wanting fried catfish and hushpuppies. You’d be fit to be tied as they say in Tennessee. And Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam is fit to be tied. The Obama administration recently released 760 illegal immigrant children to sponsors in the Volunteer State without any warning, the governor charged.
There was not so much as a text message or tweet.
“It is unacceptable that we became aware via a posting on the HHS website that 760 unaccompanied children have been released by the Office of Refugee Resettlement to sponsors in Tennessee without my administration’s knowledge,” the governor wrote in a strongly-worded letter to President Obama.
And another snippet – leading to a reinforcement, at least to me, that Obama is using his Executive Orders to Cloward-Piven the entire nation as well as using the Progressive tool of redefining the language out from under our feet:
It’s also unclear why the ORR is handling the children – since they are illegal immigrants and not refugees.
After all, he has made the point that his Administration want to establish the point of start for Refugee Status not at the border but in those Central American countries – and same them all from the stigma of being illegal and an easy trip (skipping traversing Mexico) to the Land of Milk and Honey. Refugee connotes someone in a bad situation outside their control – like a war or genocide. An illegal immigrant is a law breaker. Obama has no problem in “translating” someone who has little regard for The Rule of Law into someone that should be tugging at heart strings – which is, pretty much, the only way Progressives can win debates: emotion vs logical reasoning / point of law.
Expect to see more of this – the use of the Federal Govt mechanism to “de facto” change the status of this illegal alien invasion that bypasses the concerns of American locales. It is as Obama would want it – local town and cities will have NO recourse to an Imperial Obama / Federal Govt decree. Otherwise known as “You will be made to care” for these I dump on you.
