Cue the Alice Cooper Music – it’s Summer, and the GOP morals are easy: “We ain’t got no pride; We ain’t got no principles……”

But of all the parts of government where principles are set aside for expediency, nothing beats the US Senate – they don’t call it the “Most Exclusive Club in the World” for nothing, and the goal is life membership!

Personally, I think it’s more like a roach motel – once you get in, the members will do everything in their power to help you stay there, even for an old ‘beast’ like Thad Cochran, a turncoat like Arlen Specter, or a failed Senator like Scott Brown.

From the Senate Conservatives Fund (The antidote to the National RINO Support Committee):

rino3According to a recent story published by American Spectator, several GOP lawmakers are now worried about the potential backlash from their donations to Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS). The report says,

“Several senators are more than a little uneasy with [Cochran’s] tactics, which they feel responsible for since they raised money for Cochran.”

They are responsible because they knew what they were funding. Thad Cochran and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) accused Chris McDaniel (R-MS) of being a racist back in October.

If a Republican candidate can’t win a primary without race-baiting and courting Democrats with liberal policies, they should not be the Republican nominee.
